I think the suggestions for clayton 2.5” front springs and take the spacers out should work for you. You may still have some rake with the bumper that you could adjust out with a small spacer.
Have you thought about going a different direction by adjusting the rear instead of the front? You could drop the rear by going to a 1inch or 3/4in spacer. If you want it perfectly level you could take the rear spacer out all together. The biggest thing about doing what your wanting with the...
The teraflex 1.5” spacer lift comes with 1” and .5” spacers that you can use individual or stack together. So you can try the 1” and if you aren’t happy go to 1.5”.
If your going to do 20s I’d atleast go with 35s. For 33s I’d run a 17” rim. The look of 33s on a 20” rim looks off to me on a jeep. Honestly a 20” rim on a jeep to me needs a 40” plus tire to look proportional to me. A small spacer or leveling lift would be nice also. You can get rubicon or...
When I was doing mine the threads were really filled in. I had a hard time even getting the tap to start. I put the soldering iron in there to heat it up and it pulled some of the overspray out when I pulled the soldering iron back out.
If your trying to clean the threads out from bedliner spray. Use a soldering gun put the tip inside of the hole to heat up the bedliner and the tap will run right through it.
I agree with the guys above. I’ve never heard it referred to as chopping though. I’ve always heard it called cupping. It normally happens when the tires aren’t rotated enough. If you are going 5-7,000 miles on oil changes you may want to rotate them in between oil cages at around 3k miles like...
Haven’t had mine a year yet. This is more like a 6 month progression.
First picture is the day I bought it.
Second picture is with in the first week I stopped by discount on the way home from the dealership and ordered wheels and 315/70/17.
Third picture is after I added the mopar lift and...
I haven’t tried it on this jeep but put the jack under the axle so that you are jacking the tire off the ground. Instead of the suspension before the tire comes off the ground.
I have a really nice set of 4 general grabber at/x in a 315/70/17. I believe these are comparable to a 35/12.5/17. The tires have less than 5,000 miles on them. These have been some of the best riding a/t I’ve had so far. I just went to 37s and wish I could have got the same tires again had they...
I’ve been looking into having gears done in mine here lately. I’ve read a lot of threads and have debating between 4.88 and 5.13s. The shop is telling me to go with 5.13s but from what I’ve been reading I’ve been leaning more towards the 4.88s. Anyone running the 4.88s wish they would have went...
I would try to go for the rubicon take offs and add 3/4 to 1in spacer in the front. Mine did not rub on the street but you would want a little more clearance in the front for the times you do go Offroad.
