We bought a 2019 Model 3 long range AWD from Carvana in April for $45k, with 16k miles. The price was slightly lower than new. I think new at the time was $52k-ish. BUT....they gave us $25k on a trade in that everyone else valued at $19k, including Tesla (book value). On top of that, we may...
I don't really know much about their politics or issues, but the coffee was crap.
It's so hard to boycott them, because I've never considered buying them at all.
In my state, the charge for the plate can be allocated to various causes you might support anyway. 100% of my fee goes to the AZ Science Center, which is a place I donate to and visit anyway.
It's not possible for that to happen because of the locking design. I've got 8 years on a couple of them, Wrangler and then JT. I've been behind/under/on server racks, radio towers, Jeeps, etc.
I didn't know that. I always used it more neutral. But you are right, the keyfob whiners are definitely doing it in an annoying way, and also funny to laugh at. Good point.
I always carry a few feet of fiber cable in the Jeep. If I get stranded, I will bury it, and wait for the backhoe to show up to cut it.
Musk said no statics, but that was in the IPv4 context. If v6 ever actually goes anywhere, I can see that being added. We seem to have solved the IPv4...
From someone with Starlink in MN:
Snow ? Yes , I’ve had it almost a year now . Coming into its second winter.
couple things:
The dish gives off heat when plugged in
It’s coated , slippery
The dish angle is considerable
I've never tried to access our Plex server remotely, can't help with that one. It's supposedly active. I know that some of my friends are using home automation and related services remotely, but not sure if any are using a media server.
You probably can't. I don't even recall now if I have any port mappings any more, it has become irrelevant with today's services that do an outbound connection. So I can still run the home automation stuff remotely, because Homekit built an outbound tunnel. Cameras are the same. Security...
I've been a network engineer for over 30 years. I know the past issues with CGNAT, and see zero evidence of any current issues with it or Starlink. I run a VoIP service now, and used to be really pestered by double NAT and CGNAT. Works fine now.
I would buy this in a split second if I didn't...
90% sure not static, and in fact probably using CGNAT and private IPs in the backbone, like cellular does. It does VPN great, some of my friends use it for a full time pirate server.
Yeah, the most-Southern person I know using it is in Carefree.
I just want it to go mobile so I can put one on the Jeep/travel trailer/boat and work from truly anywhere. There is ZERO limit on my days and mobility except to stay connected. I could camp for weeks with a connection, and still work.
