Yeah it's weird, I was researching these a while back and kept coming up with nothing, and combined with Google stating the gladi doesn't have a lift pump so I just assumed they didn't. Turns out it depends which computer I use if the parts catalogs fully load. Work laptop, nope doesn't fully...
I wasn't here in this thread two days ago, instead I read through 5 pages of bickering back and forth today. Too many people think a post is only relevant the moment its posted and somehow magically becomes null if the page or day changes.
Additionally, I wasn't continuing the argument over...
Maybe so, but I like to see out the windows and mirrors. They were to the point I couldn't see the actual mirror, just the housing outline through the blur of crap.
According to the Google and looking through Mopar parts diagrams, the Gladiator does not use a lift pump, only the high pressure CP4. Google is known to be wrong, but I can't find anything on it in parts diagrams.
Edit: wait, parts manuals weren't loading completely and wasn't showing in tank...
I'm in MN and we have always called them "dizzys", and I've heard them called that outside the midwest. Must just be the crowd you roll with type thing.
Also, the amount of mansplaining and "I have to correct you" and then argue over it for multiple pages on this forum is unreal. Sometimes it's...
If you have factory AUX switches then yes there are wires both inside and in the engine bay for connecting accessories.
Some claim the harness is there even if you dont have the AUX switches, but I could not find the harness anywhere so I'm not convinced thats a true statement, unless it's only...
Some areas the bugs were so bad it sounded like rain. There was no other option other than soak the windshield. But even using short squirts this morning it still left fluid all over the side windows.
I will admit this current jug of fluid is very oily which causes it to stay on the window and...
Anyone found a solution to keeping windshield washer fluid from getting all over your side windows and making it a mess? I tried some weather stripping this morning along the edge of the window in hopes it would deflect the fluid away, but it didn't work. Going to try it in a different spot...
What constitutes something being a "build" then? Do I need to forge the steel myself?
I must agree. I don't understand it. Why take out the rake thats meant to minimize squat when you use the truck as a truck? The rake is minimal anyways, and most of the time when a truck is "leveled" I think...
I have them. I live in redneck country, so troopers are always stopping trucks that have too much poke. But the main reason I got them was because of the insane amount of snow/sleet/slush that was getting sent skyhigh off the 35s. Mudflaps were only stopping so much.
We are going through there mid October on our way to Utah and hoping Ophir will still be open. I've been up to the pass from the Silverton side, but haven't done the Ophir side. I wish we had time to do others in the area, but that just means we will have to go back another time.
Yeah, I contemplated test driving a 4th Gen Tacoma, apparently they are 100xs better, but after thinking about it I came to the conclusion that it's still a Tacoma and they are rather boring to drive and would probably still feel old and cheap. I do like the looks of almost all generations of...
It's due to two things;
1) piss poor transmission programming aimed at best fuel economy
"The 3rd-gen Tacoma uses a primary table that controls only the limits of the gear itself. It does not have control over shifting up or down, but rather only has control over the limits and conditions of...
Last night I removed the discriminator/restrictor from the fuel filler tube...
WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO DO THIS?!?!
Take that BP and your mis-sized diesel pumps!
I was on 32's and regeared to 5.29s and it was soooooo much better. It drove like it should, almost zero gear hunting, actually had throttle response, slight bump in mpgs (16 avg). It ALMOST made me like the truck, but was still underpowered and still had mediocre mpgs. I wanted to upsize to...
Bumping this, anyone end up trying the boost mirrors? I've been looking for a split glass design and so far these are the only ones I've found. I don't much care for the look of them though with the lights all over them, but if it's the only split glass option I guess I can deal with it.
I know this all too well. I had a 2020 Tacoma before my JTRD and I hated it. Piss poor performance, piss poor economy, and a transmission that was about as predictable as a bipolar squirrel on crack.
Yeah I was surprised how little engine braking it has. Some say its a diesel thing, but I had an BMW X5 with the N57 diesel paired to the same ZF trans and it had great engine braking.
With as much mountain camping that we do I think I'll look more into the aftermarket exhaust brake that I...
I'm well aware of how the diesels perform, I have one, but they are no longer an option in new Gladis, and even when offered it was a short run and really a unicorn of a platform. My comment was meant for the whole of mid-sized trucks, not just Gladis. I'm not even sure there are any current...
