A little update Jeremy, now that the build-out is about 80% done. I will be switching to the 3" heavy springs from AEV. Starting to feel a little bounce in the rear.
hey Jeremy, sorry this is getting a little mixed up.
I installed Battle Born internally heated batteries, 2 currently. In my Alu-cab.
I recommended the heat pad for the lithium batteries that are not internally heated.
Apologies for the confusion.
Easy now.
I have Battle Born internally heated batteries.
It was an option. Turtle Expedition used them on engine & house batteries, water & fuel tanks as they drove through Siberia back in the 90's.
Just trying to suggest options.
Safe travels
You can purchase a RV tank heater & have it under the batteries.
I believe the smallest self regulating is 12" x 18" - on @ 45 off @ 65 degrees. Falcon brand on Amazon.
ICON suspension makes a 1 3/8" aluminum spacer for the rear. Metal Cloak makes duro-spring bump stops that will reduce the harshness of bottoming out.
My 2 sense.
Good luck.
Here's a picture from a few months ago.
The side door is open.
Just let me know if you need specific pictures.
Also, your going to love it. Alu-cab is a total game changer.
The Alu-cab brackets are 2" spaced holes. I made an adapter to mount a Rhino Rack 270 Batwing awning that mounts with 4" spaced holes. I can post a couple of pics.
The area you marked in red is the wire chase area. You will need to seal all penetration.
I plan to do the same thing.
Bob has done the cut down JCR, jt_rdb on Instagram.
Also, one of the Goose gear employees has done the same to his JT.
Please post pics if you take on the project. Safe travels
