I installed a 3 1/2 teraflex lift with 8 ir control arms. Installer said the teraflex rear springs were good but when we lowered the jeep the rear springs just do not seem to support the 6400 load weight properly. I still have a 1.5" sag. I am now waiting on dobson 3" hd 660 lbs coils. I have a sneaky feeling i will need the 800 to 1200 lbs springs.

On a side note, the falcon adjustable shocks on level 2/8 have eliminated vehicle side to side oscillation when on rough roads.

I had the 600lb Dobinsons coils on the back and standard weight JKS on the front, supporting 7000lbs. Paired with Fox 2.5 adjustables, it rode well and fixed the sag.

I SO wish people could stop swimming (drowning) in the kool-aid that the You Tube influencers are putting out........They are leaving you poor guys with a lighter wallet and shattered dreams. I'm not so loyal to a brand that I will only use just one, but I know which ones DO NOT work and would never advise anyone to go that route.

Simple solution.....DO NOT buy from manufacturers that conceal important specs like spring rates unless we have prior knowledge that the combination works well for our application!

Even Dobinson's gives you a 660# number, but what does that really mean? Nothing I can use to tune a shock or advise a client with there....... Again....smoke, mirrors, and possible shattered dreams?

I cringed when I saw you post a few pages back about purchasing "XYZ" brand knowing you have heavy build..........

6400lb is just getting started? Wait till you finish building it out and load up..........

Once you get the spring thing handled, the next problem will be lack of damping to control the weight and spring rate. Bust out that wallet again!

Not quite - looks like it only relocates the strap to a separate bracket. The gas strut still would anchor to the stock bracket. If I'd installed 813's bracket on day 1, maybe the rivets would never have fatigued out - but as it is, I need to repair or redesign the gas strut mount no matter what. (Or abandon it entirely and just bungee the door open 180)

From the look of the photo it looks like it pulled the rivets out. Can you rivet it back in and then add my strap kit for strength? The strap kit is the first thing I designed for the camper. I also noticed how weak it was and knew it would not last long, especially for anyone that has the tire on the rear door.

I am curios what the group does to keep their lithium battery above 32 degrees. Temps in texas dropped to 15 degrees and i learned that my setup isolates the battery below 32 degrees. My cfx 55im does not draw enough current to keep the battery warm.

You can purchase a RV tank heater & have it under the batteries.
I believe the smallest self regulating is 12" x 18" - on @ 45 off @ 65 degrees. Falcon brand on Amazon.

I'm a huge fan of Clayton's springs because they can handle the weight and they openly share the spring rates with us. The problem comes when you can't buy enough off the shelf shock damping to control those springs and the weight of a camper build.

I'm on this thread because I was tagged by a gentleman I just did a complete suspension build out for that sports and Alu-Cab.

Wait,.. you're gonna use an electric heater to warm batteries that provide electricity? Jesus H..
And these are the same people that hate on 4xe's.. go buy a freaking amazing 800.00 predator generator you're gonna spend twice than on batters that are going to maybe last 2 years at best.

I have Battle Born internally heated batteries.

It was an option. Turtle Expedition used them on engine & house batteries, water & fuel tanks as they drove through Siberia back in the 90's.

Just trying to suggest options.

I have been looking at the tank pads also. They are minimal draw to help keep the batteries warm. It was down to -12 or so with much lower wind chill yesterday. I have not gone out to check on my battery.
