I have less of a problem with their build quality and more of a problem with their design. The best offroad accessories are built to perform first. Form follows function. Many of these Jeep Invasion, drippy, eye candy accessories are adored by the people who install them. They're not made...
While this bumper may not be heavy duty, it probably would work for 90% of the Jeep owners out there. The majority of Jeeps I see on the road have Amazon bumpers and side steps that will never see rocks. I'm sure they are more heavy duty than the stock plastic bumper and probably more heavy...
What makes the new transmission so "powerful"? How much power does the new transmission generate in addition to the engine's horsepower?
Edit - I see that the 8HP80PH has the electric motor built into it.
I would have kept my stock Mojave wheels, but they are just too narrow and have too much backspacing for larger tires. If they would just put 9" rims on these things, most people would keep them, I think.
I run 10 oz of ceramic balancing beads in each tire. I installed them myself when I mounted my tires on my beadlock wheels. I've run up to 95 MPH without any shake at all. I went the balancing bead route because I didn't want the headache of having tire shops tell me they won't balance beadlocks.
I was just like you. When I bought my Mojave, I had no clue the fenders were different. I just knew I liked the fenders better. I bought it, brought it home, then joined this forum. I've learned a lot here. Now the low fenders really stand out when I see them.
Got my front tube doors and installed them. Rears won't arrive until Tuesday. Took a long ride after I installed them. I love open air driving. I traded a convertible for my gladiator and forgot how much I love having the top down.
I doubt anyone is convinced they are the next coming off automotive brilliance, but they are better than a lot of aftermarket shocks. Definitely ride better than any Rubicon I've ridden in.
