This has been an issue as long as they’ve been putting on sticky weights.
As brake components have gotten larger over time so have the minimum wheel sizes. Additional attention is usually required when replacing wheels, but in your case, it comes down to a wheel/tire tech not paying attention...
I had the TSB fix installed, which made things a little better. Then I installed the Teraflex diesel 1” blocks up front and now it behaves as it should. I no longer have the raw sharpness “if” it bottoms out, but I don’t have that feeling that a 1/2” grade increase will send the axle through...
I wonder if this cracked weld or bracket was caused by the faulty front suspension on the diesel models. When mind would bottom out, it was violent sounding like a shotgun went off under the passenger floorboard.
There’s a big but. Or 2 of them.
1. The step is too high (elevation wise)…. not to mention the price. I’ve already voiced my opinion in another manufacturers thread but until people just flat refuse to buy the products, they’re going to keep charging the crazy prices..
2. It will force you...
I’ll refrain from commenting as my true commentary would surely get me banned and maybe worse. ***Good thing I’m not posting this after a weeks worth of 15hr days without getting some sleep…like I usually do…
Instead, I’d like to share my heart felt condolences, thoughts and prayers with those...
One of the reasons I really don’t like being around many people. Several in a group with common interests like on a trail ride great. …guess I’m getting old. My ability to put up with someone else’s BS has diminished.
The ride between the TJ and JT aren't comparable. I can tell a big difference with the JL. Much more stable and better on road. Offroad, there are places where a shorter wheelbase are better, but if you plan on having a built JT it won't be nearly as bad as some will have you believe...
Mine are all 20v. A buddy of mine has both 12v and 20v. While the 20v max tools are remarkably small, the 12v tools are smaller and he uses them all day on his hand held tools as they reduce fatigue.
Most of my stuff is Dewalt due to battery interchangeability (several impacts, grinder, blower, vacuum, fan, chainsaw, drill, ratchet and assorted lights all use the same batteries), but what I need more and don't have a breaker bar handy...I have an Ingersol Rand that's never failed. The IR...
My deciding factor was at the price I was able to get mine I could get 3 more and break even with the Warn with similar features. Like others have said, it's had good reviews and I haven't seen a failure due to the winch itself. I saw one that was installed on a ford HD where the mount tweaked...
From reading a ton of reviews from different sources and testimony from many on this forum I can say with certainty your statement is the first of displeasure from the brand I’ve come across. Can you shed light on why your so passionately against clayton’s components?
Kinda doing some backward analysis here. Stock tires come load range C. Load range D or 8 ply tires have a 50 psi max. You stated your tires have a max PSI of 65? That’s a lot of tire for a gladiator. I also didn’t see where you mention the wheel size. Many 18” wheels running 35-37” tires...
I know the factory setup is open on the bottom. Do the Rusty’s brackets have a provision where dirt and rocks will be pushed out when packed in? Looking at the photo made me have some concern regarding debris being packed in and around the bushing…
