Honestly, since the 392s about to go the way of the dodo and as long as the 392 isn’t super high mileage, I keep it. Then again with your current fleet it doesn’t sound like you have a pick up truck, so I guess there is actually a utility factor in your decision as well, don’t know that I helped...
granted…it’s been a while, but I’ve never really had an issue with an insurance company. When my TJ was mooshed, the adjuster was talking repair. I told him that if he was comfortable having a short wheelbase vehicle repaired that “diamonded” the frame and what the repercussions would be if...
I had a violent leak that stained both sides of the hood liner. Turns out it was from the overflow bottle not being tightened down properly…. I doubted it, but once tightened it stopped.
This looks good…most I’d want. 8.5” wide rim is ideal to me since it will protect the wheels while being suitable for a 12.50” wide tire.
for the other posting, below is one of the “Mopar Off-road” wheels. It’s 8.5 with a +12 offset. It’s actually +13 less than AEV wheels, which are + 25 and...
That’s a bit much for me. Looks like almost 1/2 the tread is outside the flare. If you listen enough, you can hear the faint scream of the poly wrapped balljoints!
As this is a "Safety" Recall, they should be replacing all of them. If the pump is "Known" to fail and place occupants in a safety situation they have liability. The NTSB is requiring it...from what I've read.
Not coming down on you or defending one side or the other, but I feel it would benefit your blood pressure to take a breath and realize being suit happy is not always the answer. First of all, who says Jeep did this? If it’s Bosch, my thought is they’re ramping up on electronic and possibly...
I'll add a related tip. I you are having a bedliner sprayed in, the day before your appointment, mush a dab of silicone in each hole so it dries flush. This way, the liner won't get into the threads in the first place.
Oh no worries i didn't see that. The spacer is installed on the top of the spring and rests in the spring bucket. The Factory spring (Rubber) isolator fits below that, then the spring is reinstalled. Honestly, you can't even see it.
Something else to consider, is the Mopar longer control arms that come with their lift kit are only about 3/8" longer. Folks have reported up to 2.5-3" of lift, so with 1" or 1.5 in spacers may very well not require longer arms. The factory springs also tend to settle or sag fairly quickly...
I've never heard of a spring adjustment. When you start mix matching springs you don't only have to worry about spring height, you have to take into account spring rate. The way I have it set up I'm within 1/4" of factory height. When I'm in a position to really mess with the suspension, I'll...
I have a JTRD...so it's a little heavy on the front end to start with. Then, I put on the Apex 12K winch and made it even more heavy. I went through the TSB for the shocks and bump stops and it still bottomed out, but not as bad as before. I installed the 1" front spacers and it's perfect...
So…sounds like someone has some allergies and needs to twirl a tissue!
sorry…it was there. With the vid focusing in on the vent. Many HVAC systems are still, to some degree, vacuum actuated. Meaning, when you change from floor to dash face vents, to dash top vents or defrost. Also, then you...
Not sure how tall you are, but this kit is adjustable. I'm 6-3ish and the sitting position is great for me. The setting I chose was to lower the rear of the seat 2" and raised the front using the blocks provided. It changed the support point to mid thigh for me. Much more comfortable and my...
Not that you don't know, but a 40 from a 37 will only net +/- 1.5 inch step in height increase... Not trying to push you since 40's open the door for additional mods for reliability. If I lived on the west coast, which isn't going to happen, I may consider it, but realistically, 37-38 should...
I wanna go with the 38’s as well but I’m absolutely not a fan of the Patagonia’s, don’t want a load range E tire (wanted Cooper stt Pro’s) and haven’t found what else is out there that’s readily available on the eastern side of the country. May end up with 37’s when I’m ready to make the move.
So you can understand me being uncomfortable running the MS12991 certified oil required in the 3.0L Diesel motor. Nowhere on the jug does it say anything about for Diesel Motors...yet here we are. Every time I get it changed it feels like I'm putting gasoline in it...LOL
Had the 2.42 (I think) standard gearing in my XJ and TJ years ago. Much different with the 4:1. Now, if my brakes are wet…I have to be mindful to have my hand ready to slap it out of gear if I’m approaching something where I’ll need to stop. The added torq transfer of the lower gearing plus...
