I’ve had a sliding glass door literally explode from a differential heating from the sunlight outside. Internal stresses combined with an unbalanced expansion / contraction and a minor chip can easily cause this kind of fracture regardless of gorilla glass or not.
I’d say try the warranty route first and if they say definitively that it is an impact then go to the insurance carrier. In many states, mine included, comprehensive insurance provides no-cost windshield replacements.
I’ve bought two sets of the mcgard black nuts. Neither one was the same as oem. Both have much smaller taper surface than the oem. I don’t know about the gorilla brand but the diagram appears to be the same as mcgard. I’m not paying Mopar close to $300 for a set of black ones.

I’m in the same boat. I’m betting they keep them on eternal back order so they don’t have to honor the price and wait until all of the back orders self cancel. The have clearly underestimated my stoic patience or as my wife calls it my stubborn a**. :)
The Dremel is definitely on deck for that mod but I’m hoping someone might have a better, cleaner, solution to the issue. It would be great if someone with some better Mopar parts knowledge may be able to help find a drop in solution to the length of the arm.
