  1. SIDETRACKED - My Sarge Green Texas Trail Edition Build

Man it seems like forever since I've done anything with the Jeep. Felt good to get back out in the garage and get a few things done. About a week ago, I began working on installing the Covering Topliners on the inside of the Jeep. I first purchased some 80 mil Killmat to line the hardtop with...

  3. Clayton 2.5" Ride Right installed on my Texas Trail Gladiator

not off the top of my head but they look to be around 2”, maybe 3”.
  4. Clayton 2.5" Ride Right installed on my Texas Trail Gladiator

Yes, I recently had some bump stop spacers installed on the front to keep the tires from mashing into the wheel well so much. It was tearing up my JCR inner fenders without them.
  5. Texas Sold: S&B air intake w/ hood scoops for Rubicon - $300

Used, but in good condition. Looks great and sounds mean. Can be used on non-Rubicon without the hood scoops, but I will sell it separately. Located in Houston. No shipping. Price is firm since it is for the complete set-up. $300
  6. The White Rabbit

Very sad to hear about this. He was always very enthusiastic about meeting up and doing Jeep stuff. Unfortunately, every time he wanted to join a meet or go to a trail, he had something pop up last minute for work and always ended up working. Guess that just goes to show that the next day is not...
  7. Time to play "What's That Noise?!?!?!"

yes. I installed a rock jock carrier bearing spacer.
  8. Time to play "What's That Noise?!?!?!"

2021 Texas Trail. 2.5" Clayton lift, 37" Ridge Grapplers, Yukon 5.13 gears, no lockers. I've been hearing this noise for a few months now. I suspected it was the rear gears at first, so I had 2 different shops look at it, the shop that installed the gears and another independent shop. Both have...
  9. Tell us your favorite memory in a Jeep.

Took a family trip to Durango/Ouray/Silverton from our home in Houston when I was 22 years old in 1999. First time I had ever seen mountains. The rest of the family did some sightseeing around Ouray, shopping and touristy stuff and whatnot. I got my dad to rent me a TJ from one of the rental...
  10. Hooray for Ouray 2022. Here we go again

I am enjoying your pictures, thanks for posting. It's getting me more excited for my Ouray trip in September with Jeep Jamboree. It will be my second time up there as the first time was about 20 years ago.
  11. How do you protect your JT when topless?

Completely waterproof and has never failed me.
  12. Coverking Topliner - Review & Install

Looks great. How many square feet of Killmat is that? I got 64 sq ft and I'm wondering if it's enough.
  13. Who's got my fuel mileage beat?

I've got you beat by a landslide. My outside temp gauge read 102F on the way home yesterday.
  14. Softopper delivered... question on utility clamps

I would not trust that inside rail. Those clamps should not be sitting that loose. It needs to be tightened down fully in order to withstand the winds from driving. Good luck on finding a solution, I love my Softopper and it's clamped down pretty tight.
  15. Ouray Jamboree 2022

Just wanted to give an update that a few days ago, I received an email from Jeep Jamboree that a spot opened up and I had 24 hours to claim it. I immediately called my dad to make sure he was still good to go for it and then booked it within an hour of receiving the email. All that's left now is...
  16. Bourbon Talk... too.

Favorite daily - Larceny Best shelf bottle - was a 2019 bottle of Eagle Rare 17 but I sold it recently. So probably now is 2020 bottle of George T. Stagg
  17. Whatcha Sippin On?

Yesterday was National Bourbon Day and Flag Day.
  18. Jeep Badge of Honor Customer Service? (Badge of Fail)

I'm still waiting for my Marble Falls Adventure Park badge since April 8th.
  19. Craziness at Jeep "Go Topless" event

Crystal Beach is absolutely not a nude beach. (At least, not legally)
  20. Craziness at Jeep "Go Topless" event

The hoodlums will absolutely not go to Surfside. Way too many restrictions/laws for them to be able to act up the way they do at Crystal Beach. 1. Surfside Beach is considered part of the roadway/highway, therefore all laws that pertain to the road, pertain to the beach such as wearing of...
