Agreed something is off. But DO NOT GET FIXATED ON ARM LENGTH!!! Start with their suggested length and measure that the axle is square and the wheel/tires is centered in the wheel well. Best method so adjust arms properly is as follows:
Remove springs from both sides, leave shocks connected...
Length is a byproduct of caster degree, so dont get fixated on the length of the arm. If 1/4" gets you in the best caster possible, then so be it. AS mentioned, get it on an alignment rack to make the best decision
Im good. Again, I don't need to make myself feel better. Stupid is supercharging a high compression engine to get more power then saying a V8, that has more power in that same chassis, is a worse idea. There's zero logic. Id rather have people read this on the forum and think for themselves.
I don't need to spin or make myself feel better. Im not buying a 392 Wrangler. But you went off by saying we want a JT to drive and handle like a sports car which is not even remotely close to what anyone, including myself, has referred to. Our inner child wants a V8 Gladiator, pure and simple...
He's saying you can't with the JT but he can supercharge his JT, for more power. Which is what we want as well as that V8 sound. But its not reasonable. But supercharging is reasonable. Paying $8-10k for a 392 isn't reasonable, but $7-8k for supercharging is reasonable. Wait, now Im...
Ive been a big fan on the Toyo RTs, on my third set on three different vehicles. Spend more now, get a great tire that will last you awhile. Or the Ridge Grappler. Whichever is better rates for snow/ice if you have to run through that. Personally, I hate BFGs, all of them, have never had a good...
Cool. I have a sports car to experience. Now all you're saying is we all should conform to what you want out of your JT. You've lost me completely.
Carry on.
I think you're "arguing" that the V6 is enough, which I would agree with you. Its a great engine and has very usable power. However, Im a power junky, Im always chasing it in every car. I tuned an M6 Gran Coupe to over 700 HP on race gas and most recently with my 911, Im itching for more power...
We can agree to disagree here. NA HP is very usable off-road in lots of different situations. Also, at 3k rpm, the SRT8 has 75 more TQ than the pentastar. Peak power isn't the only advantage.
Now, I would agree the SRT8 6.4 is a bit overkill and the HD 6.4 would be a better suited engine for...
For the same reason we NEED 700+ HP in a challenger/charger/grand Cherokee... Cause we can. FCA has been very clever in their marketing and releasing cars to fit THEIR enthusiasts, not others. The Jurassic park scene where the T-Rex kills the raptors at the end, pure genius. They are giving...
With $20k of that in axles alone. Add wheels, tires, lift and winch, there's another $7-10k.
I'd be you're looking mid $70s for the hemi. But, Ive seen stranger shit
As someone who drives 85+ daily, the gladiator is more than capable and safe at those speeds, with a good driver that is. Put any dumbass without experience in a truck or Jeep at any speed can be unsafe. You have to know the behaviors of the vehicle you're driving. I didn't hop in first day...
My sport on 37s, stock gearing travels regularly 85+ down here in Florida, does just fine. Don't expect good mileage but I could give a rats ass about mileage. 488s getting installed soon. Not sure why people are so afraid of it.
Important thing here is DILUTE the degreaser. I like Adams degreased diluted 8:1, few brushes to get in tight areas, rinse thoroughly. Carpro Pearl diluted 1:1 to dress it without being greasy or attracting more dirt. Do not use some shiny shit on the plastics.
