  1. Sting Gray with Bronze Wheels

Not Sting Gray, but I love these with my Granite :)
  2. A Tale of No Power

I’m with LaterGator. Genesis for the win! Nice story. I <3 your pictures.
  3. What did you HAUL in your JT today?

It’s a Powermatic. Picked it up for a friend :) I Enjoy woodworking too, but he’s way more into it than I am.
  4. What did you HAUL in your JT today?

Was easy to get in with a fork lift. Really hard to get out with 4 people!
  5. Ordered Lift...Regret???

If its noisy you should totally try greasing the joints btw. Takes about 30 minutes after you've done it the first time. I've been doing it every 2-6 months depending on how much I've been on the trails. My truck isn't quiet like my husbands Volvo, but there isn't any squeaking or other weird...
  6. Cleaning under the hood tips?

Let it cool off, hose it down. Be careful around the alternator ( you don’t want to push muck into it with water pressure). It’s a truck you drove through a bog three times, it can take it! Just don’t do stupid stuff like pressure washing sensitive areas (reservoirs, electrical, fittings...
  7. Ordered Lift...Regret???

The RK is great, but from my research is the more rock crawly centered of the two, especially with the Pro-X kit. You’ll get less sag when towing/loading the bed with the Clayton. Also, Accutune was great to work with for custom valved shocks :) I have the RK kit and don’t regret it. But my...
  8. Switch placement ideas

There is also room just below the gear shifter for smaller switches. The center console is held in place by 4 bolts and comes up fairly easily once you disconnect the wires under the passenger seat.
  9. Practical Truck for the Over Prepared Woman

Hey Clark! Sorry to hear about your knee surgery :/ Unfortunately the Medano Pass was closed :( I really wanted to do it, but that was the trade off of getting their early enough for a little skiing! I would definitely recommend the Ozarks as a stop, at least for a day or two. We are...
  10. Fox Steering Stabilizer reviews / feedback?

Also, there seem to be Fox people and Teraflex people. Only you can decide which flavor you are :)
  11. Fox Steering Stabilizer reviews / feedback?

Done with dinner, so a little more info to help you out. I upgraded my stabilizer because with bigger (and wider) tires I was feeling the truck getting pulled into potholes. This can be a little scary when going 60-80 as you can imagine. I was looking for something that would lessen the shock...
  12. Fox Steering Stabilizer reviews / feedback?

I have the fancy version (adjustable) of this and quite like it.
  13. Jeep Adventure Academy--Llano Photos

Warfab Inc has some nice hitch skids. I'm sure there are others out there too :) I bought mine after I bent the safety chain tab pretty badly. My jeep is lifted and on bigger tires, but I still manage to scrape it on stuff occasionally. Worth the investment IMO :/ Looks like a fun event! Glad...
  14. Practical Truck for the Over Prepared Woman

Also, shoutout to Don @Discount Tire! Thank you for helping me get everything coordinated for the new wheels and tires. It was the most painless tire buying experience I've had so far :) Showed up, and the team already had everything mounted and balanced. I was in and out in 30 minutes <3
  15. Practical Truck for the Over Prepared Woman

good idea :) I may try that as an intermediate step. Just moved into a real house with a REAL garage this weekend. I’m pretty excited not to be working in a parking garage soon! Truck handled the UHaul trailer like a champ.
  16. Practical Truck for the Over Prepared Woman

Thank you. I hear you on the rust risk. Anything mild steel very quickly turns into rust here in Virginia. So far the compressor hardware is holding up well, it’s mostly aluminum and stainless parts. I have had to use a little graphite on the bearing in the quick release connector though. I have...
  17. Virginia Sold: 5x 20” Method 606s + 35” Maxxis RAZR MTs

Just switched to 17” wheels for a bit more grip on the trails. These wheels and tires have served me well for around 12k miles, pictures below of each tire and wheel. Highly recommend the Maxxis tires, they drive great on the road and perform like pros off it :) Wheels are in good shape, but...

    Is that their test mule?
