The more i go back and forth and try and justify the cost the more I head that direction. I picked up the tent attachment for my softopper, I’m building a bed box to raise it all up and extend onto the tailgate and i bought an Exped Megamat duo and now I have a sleeping solution for much less...
I'm not the guy with the GFC, but I've spent waaaay too much time researching it. Sadly, the cost has stricken it from my plans (though the DIY GFC on the Tacoma forums is still teasing me.)
The new v2 version of the GFC is starting to ship and if you order one now a) it won't be started until...
I just orderd my DAC tent (through softopper... not sure how much different it is vs amazon, but it seems like there is a bar for holding out the top since there isn't a hard window for it to rest on.)
This picture is exactly what I was looking for to justify the purchase. I was starting to...
I took my JT to a Line-X shop and they did the bed for $525... so not that much ore than having it done in production. Definitely not $200... and it's got a lifetime warranty. I mean, it sucks that they don't seem to be able to do it and you'd have to do it yourself, but its really not that hard...
Just checking in, did you get yours built yet? installation upcoming? I'm considering when I'll put my deposit down, but definitely trending towards the GFC more and more. I can't wait to see one actually sitting on the back of a Gladiator.
Honestly, I had no idea I wanted proximity until I had to deal with pulling my key out to get in, then put it away before I turn the truck on. If it has push button start then it should have proximity locks.
This, exactly... I was able to order a 2021 while the employee pricing was available and that also added body color fenders which grants you the non-ugly bumper for free, so I got all kinds of deals working together. I got mine right at 40k and it's pretty much exactly what I wanted. (That being...
It's all in the Popular Equipment Package, you get a LOT of savings with that. I kept running numbers like this back when i ordered my Sport S and that package really drops the price dramatically vs part for part comparison.
Thanks for that perspective. I recently watched a video of someone that opted for the AT Atlas where they said they picked it so they wouldn't need to climb in feet first... obviously they (and most) are using the wedge campers wrong. =oP Your logic for why you'd go first makes sense though. (c...
Good points, all of them. I forgot the base was just riveted aluminum and had the mental picture of the cross section of their upper portion with extruded aluminum.
That really only leaves "size" as the big sell... I want to put the Exped Megamat Duo in, which seems slightly too wide for the...
I watched their reveal for the new V2 and they made some very legit updates... I can't wait to see it on a Gladiator! (I'm still leaning towards a SuperPacific because it's a little bit roomier inside and I like how they've optimized the extruded aluminum for wiring. No shade on the GFC though...
If anything dramatic has changed then they seem to drop it a couple of weeks into the month. Working on it right now with the December numbers and I'm not seeing any real change in $, just adding items. That being said... the Freedom Edition w/ Max Tow is gonna be the new darling of the...
I'm hoping to work on it this weekend, or as soon as I get into a spreadsheet mood.
That being said, the most recent sheet I see is from December 4th. There isn't a new price sheet from 1/1/21 that I'm aware of. If you have a link, please share it. (c:
