  1. Am I Getting A Good Price for This 2025 NightHawk?

I paid $41k for a 2025 NH and was pretty pleased with the package. So Cal.
  2. Exceedfab's upcoming release: Curved Overhead Molle Panel

Those are exactly what I bought, 2 pair. But I have figured out that by removing the small molle panel end panels for quick access to the freedom top latches, I can then have access overhead to attach the phillips screws into the tool mount and be good. I will post images.
  3. Exceedfab's upcoming release: Curved Overhead Molle Panel

I have mine installed and am now discovering the size of the holes in the molle panel are not compatible with tool mounts from DV8 or Bulletpoint. The DV8 mounts are quick release and requires 1" x 1.5" holes, the Exceedfab product is 1" x 1-3/8". The Bulletpoint would work but they sandwich...
  4. Exceedfab's upcoming release: Curved Overhead Molle Panel

Got mine yesterday. Anxious to get it mounted. I don't plan on removing the tops so I will likely mount the two smaller panels. How much trouble was it to pry back the windshield trim, or whatever the instructions called it? The word "pry" elicits thoughts of stretch or tear.
  5. So Cal locals- Berdoo Canyon to Joshua Tree Geology Tour Road- Tire concerns

Morons. That happened to us one time off of Hodge road near barstow. Some nut with a tripod was quartering us from behind because he was driving a nice car and he wanted to "create distance." I told him to go effing walk the target out farther.
  6. So Cal locals- Berdoo Canyon to Joshua Tree Geology Tour Road- Tire concerns

Thank you. I have run across idiots like that many times and I just SMH. I'm a certified CRSO and I find it hard not to get out and lecture them but most of them are drinking so I just wave.
  7. So Cal locals- Berdoo Canyon to Joshua Tree Geology Tour Road- Tire concerns

Hello all, I have been looking at doing a quick day trip here and from what I understand it has some really rocky parts that are narrow. My Nighthawk on 33's isn't much of a concern but since my wife is disabled I have to ensure I pack everything I need should the SHTF in any way. My...
  8. Really bumpy in the mornings

    I felt that reply. <g>
  9. Tire recommendations?

Wondering if tire pressure was not the problem.......
  10. Bed camping

    That's a nice cap.
  11. Really bumpy in the mornings

Good explanation. I have a 2025 Nighthawk, stock, and it does that as I approach freeway speed for a mile or two.
  12. Thread pitch for bed holes

I thought about doing that but the tap had a square drive and my drill had a 3 jaw chuck so it wouldn't have been secure.
  13. Thread pitch for bed holes

I see they answered your question, I had to do the same thing with a tap. Be carefull with how much torque you apply on the smallish tap or you'll overheat it and break it off. I sprayed WD-40 in the holes and went slow. Twist the tap back and forth when you start to get the bedliner scraped...
  14. Tire recommendations?

My 2025 Nighthawk came with General Tire A/T 275/50x20 and I couldn't be happier. Not super aggressive/knobby but no noise and excellent road handling. I traded in an AWD Murano which was quite a sleeper, but the Jeep drives like a sports car compared to the soft Nissan body-roll ride.
  15. New 2.0 Hurricane Turbo 4 engine announced (324 hp / 332 lb-ft)

I made that same decision. Last thing I want in the middle of the Mojave desert is a turbo or hydrid system SNAFU. Just wanted a boring 6cyl.
  16. 12VD from Neg Battery Terminal to Ground

As a career electrician, anytime we had what some called a backfeed turned out to be an open neutral or ground. I would suggest replacing the ground cable and cleaning all connections.
  17. 2025 Nighthawk bed rail suggestions

My plan is a t-wrench tap with cutting oil, and you just back it out every half turn to clean it out.
