Got these silver saltas on sale, and mounting new BFG's in a week or so. Should i leave them silver or spray them satin black? Your opinion is appreciated!
Going to keep them. They aren't really "sell quality." I bought them used with a really rough paint job and some rash / scratches. I straightened most of it out when i painted them, but if you get up close, you can still see the remnants of some issues
I bought these saltas in silver because AEV slashed them from $300 a wheel to $150 a wheel, thinking i'll just save $600 and spray them black like my current set is...... Then they come in, and i'm drooling over the silver. They look so hardcore/aggressive in person, that i think i'm going to...
You can get to it. If i recall correctly from doing it twice, my torque wrench was going up in a gap around the driveshaft / exhaust. Can't remember which side of that bolt i was on, bolt or nut, but you can get to it.
Now, i have 4 rhino ramps to have the jeep sitting on the "ground" 8"...
This hasn't been my personal experience wheeling multiple jeeps and a land rover discovery with the rear bars disconnected. Disconnecting any sway bar reduces body roll resistance, but jeeps don't spontaneously flop over with the rear sway bar disconnected. I think it's just been repeated on the...
Yea i think the video needs a bit more than "of course you need a rear bar, watch" when they show the one situation where there is a benefit and ignore the other two situations where not having a rear bar is likely more beneficial
i'm with you. In that specific RTI ramp test, where you are going up an obstacle, yes, there is a benefit to running a rear bar. And of course, that is where you want the most flex for traction. But as soon as you are level and twisted up in a rut, there is probably a benefit to not having a...
Get 4 rhino ramps To have the jeep sitting on the "ground" 6" higher and then grab a decent torque wrench, like a 250-ft lb wrench from home depot. No prob getting 190
sure is! I've done it enough to warrant buying 4 rhino ramps solely to get the jeep up higher for easier/more leverage. Might help out for re-torquing yours!
AEV front and rear diff covers and mopar grille. These diff covers are SOLID. The finish is a dead ringer for the hellwig rear sway bar
Next up, falcon steering stabilizer!
You could grab some small plastic plugs to fit in the holes and paint the heads of them gloss white before install. That's what a lot of "spoiler delete" guys do with cars to remove spoilers and eliminate the holes
Has anybody confirmed for sure that it is engine knock? I've tried by running knock sensors and knock retard on Jscan and i've heard the rattle but Jscan showed 0 degrees knock retard. Not sure if that method is accurate or not to determine if it's real knock or not. Whenever it's really ratting...
Cold air intakes are better at any rpm for power and gas mileage - that's why the oem intake is a cold air intake.
PV=nRT
You want to increase "n" moles of air. You can do that at any rpm by lowering "T" all else being constant. That applies for any rpm.
You can also increase "n" by...
