  1. Oil Catch Can - is it needed?

Just thought of something - i'm going to check the can-to-intake line at some point and make sure it's totally clear
  2. Oil Catch Can - is it needed?

It is very odd. I thought the same - everything should be under vacuum and if there is a leak, it will pull air in, not leak oil. But somehow, the system is getting pressurized. Not sure if it's a resistance thing or if it's that i drive like a senior and don't create much intake manifold...
  3. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Those KM3's look great! Can't wait for some daytime pics. What lift or leveling kit do you have?
  4. Oil Catch Can - is it needed?

Update on my personal experience with the catch cans - i've now removed the second can. First big name brand can had a good amount of blow-by and the can was leaking around the upper-lower can section seal. Second big name brand can was working awesome until it eventually developed the same...
  5. No broken fender clips to replace aux ess battery

Well, add me to that group now! Main battery started showing 12V while driving. New duralast main just went in today and i'm over 14V driving again. Main battery happy, aux battery happy, alternator working fine, ess working like a champ. But yep, add me to the had to replace both roughly at the...
  6. No broken fender clips to replace aux ess battery

The fender comes off in 10 min without needing to replace anything. It's really quick - this is more of a "don't yank on your fender when removing it" post to avoid ordering fender clips
  7. No broken fender clips to replace aux ess battery

Did not test the main, but caught the aux battery going down quick. Have had no problems cranking etc otherwise so i'm winging it only changing the aux
  8. No broken fender clips to replace aux ess battery

Yep! Not bad. I went with the Super Start Platinum from Oreilly
  9. No broken fender clips to replace aux ess battery

I just had to replace my aux battery for the ess system, so i watched the videos and read the threads. Some are saying that breaking fender clips is inevitable, and that you start by yanking at the back bottom edge of the fender. I found that you can get to the back of these clips with...
  10. MOJAVE Edition Gladiator JT Club

  11. Got rid of my new 2021 Gladiator in 2.5 months

Reading the thread title, i thought, oh no, another huge gladiator problem. Thankfully it's just your back! Whew! J/k lol. Hope you find a good fit and get some back relief

  14. LSPI / Engine Knock - how many are using ESS?

What i'm trying to figure out is if the ESS system has some unintended side effects. My wife's '17 pacifica with the pentastar doesn't ping on 87 with random valvoline express lane oil, but my JT does on 93 and Castrol Edge with calcium levels below 1,000 ppm (low). She doesn't have ESS, i do...
  15. LSPI / Engine Knock - how many are using ESS?

Hey Y'all, for those that have the "key rattle" ping sound, low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) / the knock the owner's manual says is "normal" (The light-throttle ping around 30mph or so you can hear when the windows are down): how many of you keep ESS on and use it and how many are getting this...
  16. Oil Catch Can - is it needed?

Lol, some say it works, some say it doesn't. It's just filling up with premium with a good additive package, like chevron, exxon, bp, shell etc and doing a handful of repeated wide-open-throttle runs to "clean excess carbon" out of the engine. If it cleans excess carbon, great, if not, it was...
  17. Oil Catch Can - is it needed?

So glad i switched catch cans to the UPR. I've been running the jeep harder than normal with some WOT pulls for the italian tune up running 93 octane for a "clean cycle." Just checked my "clean line" to the intake manifold from the UPR, and not one drop of oil on the rolled up paper towel...
