It's not a feature that can be turned on/off. What the Tazer does is it intercepts CANBus signals and send its own signal that cuts the lights. This is why it's an "active" feature (meaning, the Tazer has to be plugged in for it to work)
I bought some close-outs from @Commanodjk13 here on the forum. They are acrylic (or ABS?) and fit great. Hopefully he'll respond here since I tagged him. I have been really happy with them so far, they just make it "clean" when running the stubby option.
I don't remember the pinouts off hand but yes: that's exactly what I'm doing. The picture was when I was testing the harness/tap without the relay in place (the black/green wires) to make sure everything worked because that harness has a LOT of stuff in it like ParkSense signals, etc.

I think that's REALLY dangerous. What if you started someone else's car that was sitting in their garage? You could literally kill someone even if you can't drive away with their rig.
I also have all the Mouser part numbers to build a "license lamp reverse lockout" if you're interested. Reversing at night without those stupid bright lights is a game changer!
It's actually pretty bright because it's such a small space.
And... it's better than zero light :)
It was a fun project, even if no one else finds it useful!
The way these are wired, they will work with the courtesy lights (i.e. Door Open) or via the ambient footwell lighting.
I thought about a switch, but also not a good spot for one with this glovebox.
Ok, so I've owned Jeeps (Wranglers and now a JT) for years and the one thing they have never had is a glovebox light. Not really a deal-breaker, but I travel a lot and often find my passengers fishing for items in the glovebox at night with their cell phone lights on so I decided to make my own...
Forgot to update... the tech at Discount Tire's brother is a policeman. He said it looked an awful lot like the spikes they use for disabling vehicles. If you look closely, these are not screws, they are definitely spikes of some kind. He said they are designed to break off the main assembly...
Are you 100% sure it's from the front-end? I thought I had a front-end noise, with the exact same symptoms as yours: slow, turning, under load (uphill or over obstacle). I had my wife drive it up our driveway (10% grade) and it sounded more like the Xfer case area when I was outside the...
I also have a manual and used it a couple of months ago on a trail ride for the first time.
Question for you @Daa03c: did you do any decents in 4LO where you where 100% reliant on engine braking? I had an issue when I was about 1/2 way down a hill and all of the sudden my RPMs jumped and the...
