I would love to see both teams go undefeated into THE game. I wish they didn't change the schedule with the bye week. I really enjoyed watching it the weekend before Thanksgiving.
Good luck this weekend! See you on the 26th... and maybe again in the CFP ;)
First off: I'll see you on the field in 2 weeks (figuratively) ?
And, you are 100% correct: everyone's idea of what's right is different and spacers may be the right move for the OP. I guess my point was if you're going to go through the trouble of putting in spacers, you're doing almost 90%...
To the OP: I also did the MOPAR lift and am VERY happy with it.
To @Sparty's point: if you're going to do it, do it right. Adding spacers is almost as much effort as adding a complete lift.
Plusses:
Cheap
Minuses
Factory shocks may not like the extra travel
Sway bar links may be too short
That's all I can think of in the spare 30 seconds I had before work! You'll get more responses, I'm sure of it ?
EDIT: I assume you just wanted spacers for looks and not serious wheeling...
I gave up on Dewalt after they nixed their 36V batteries and the prices on ebay went into the $100's just for one battery. I had a thousand dollars of drills, saws, etc that all instantly became relics. I sold all of them to a hobbyist who rebuilt cells (battery cells, not prison cells)
I have...
Just for reference, here's what bad bearings in an alternator sound like:
Yours sounds more like pulleys, as mentioned by others. A mechanic's stethoscope is a GREAT tool for tracking these things down.
@mjoneil This write up was awesome: Thank you!
You inspired me, after much thought about adding the rear fogs, to use the BCM output for my aftermarket driving/fog lights.
I tapped into the BCM C6 pin (I just happened to have 1.2mm TE MCON receptacles) and am using that pin to switch a relay...
I have the ACC... I have no idea why that wiring harness is where it is. The wire comes from the engine bay, into the cowl and then terminates into that connector. The mating connector then comes back OUT of the cowl underneath the wiper area and back into the firewall at the dash.
Very...
I should have added: in case it wasn't clear - I only bought 4... I cheaped out on the spare since unless you have it in 4WD you can run a smaller spare in a pinch.
I'm no CAN expert, but my understanding is that CAN is more like TCP with guaranteed delivery (though, not exactly like TCP) because it's used in systems that require high fault tolerance. LIN is a cheaper protocol used for things that may not need the higher level of fault tolerance (windows...
Just be careful when grabbing at 3 and 9: when the tire is off the ground, you will get some play because of the steering linkage that you might think is "something" loose.
12 and 6 should be solid as a rock. If you get movement here it's a hub bearing or maybe a ball joint.
I paid $1622 after tax + certificates at Discount Tire about a year ago for my 37" KO2's.
Roughly $400 each. You should be able to get about a 15% discount from them just by asking.
Also, if you are a member of Tread Lightly they offer an additional discount card for Discount Tire. At...
Appreciate all your help! You guys might want to update your website, this page says the SS5 is SAE compliant in Driving and Fog configurations:
https://www.diodedynamics.com/off-road-auxiliary-led/led-pods.html
Or, does SAE compliant not necessarily mean on-road? I may be confused :)
