  1. Driveline Vibration with 37’s

It may have been slightly damaged before and the tiny additional stress of the bad wheel/tire finished the job. From there no matter what you tried, the problem remained. I hope this fixes it!
  2. Driveline Vibration with 37’s

Good move removing the driveshaft. Did you try driving in 4H before you removed the driveshaft? The reason I ask is in 2H, the wheels drive the driveshaft, but in 4H it’s the other way around often giving you insight. Do not believe the bs about needing adjustable control arms with your lift...
  3. Dealer advised pull to the right is normal!

There are two ways to center the steering wheel - the right way and the wrong way. The right way ensures the steering box (Not the steering wheel) is perfectly centered and then adjusts the tie rod ends to set the toe and ensure the truck tracks straight. Once complete, the drag link is adjusted...
  4. How to Adjust the Slop out of the Steering System (I am finally happy with my Jeep)

The supplier uses varying amounts of locktite on the threads. Rather than heating it directly, insert the Allen key and heat the key until you can turn it (properly gloved hand of course and remember, a hot Allen key looks like a cold Allen key!).
  5. Dealer Scams

In effect, you paid no sales tax or license fees. In CA, not a bad deal at all in my opinion.
  6. How to Adjust the Slop out of the Steering System (I am finally happy with my Jeep)

I installed a Borgeson power steering box in my 1964 Corvette. Look familiar? The irony is that it is a Jeep box and is considered a significant upgrade to the oem GM system. The adjustment procedure is exactly that posted in this thread by Brandon.
  7. How to Adjust the Slop out of the Steering System (I am finally happy with my Jeep)

Frankly, I would rather have it on the tight end of the spec, than the loose end. Both an overly loose and overly tight box will wear faster. Any mechanical interfaces that depend on one surface pressing on another will wear. Gear lash is simply the adjustment that both optimizes performance and...
  8. What are your onboard "essentials"?

I’ll add things I didn’t see above: Solar cell phone charger Roll of duct tape (temp radiator hose repair) Spare serpentine belt Jumper cables Emergency (crank) radio Solar still when in the desert
  9. Bad steering box 68418449AE

I will always know you as dirty dick.
  10. Dealer Scams

Yes, a society where the hunter takes advantage of the prey. I simply responded to the question. They wouldn’t do it if it didn’t work, meaning they get away with it. Not everyone is as experienced and as strong willed as you apparently are.
  11. Trying to choose an adjustable track bar

I went with the the Synergy and installed it when I installed their sector shaft brace. The two big pluses in addition to significantly more strength are that the axle mount end is fixed which perfectly positions the offset required to clear the pumpkin. Others require you to figure out the...
  12. Big Beef for the JTR M210

Big thumbs up from me, well done!
  13. Dealer Scams

They do it, because they can and they get away with it.
  14. Aux & lightbar security

Mcmaster-Carr sells security bolts in a whole range of sizes.
  15. What I wish my Gladiator had.

That’s only with the fob. If you want it on longer, use the manual switch and have it on as long as you want.
  16. What I wish my Gladiator had.

Perfect complement to your JT as she comes with her own bolt on’s!
  17. SCAM ALERT! Unsolicited messages/conversations asking you to email someone!

One of the ways we help curb this on a forum I moderate is to limit posting in For Sale/WTB forums to people with at least 50 posts. Another way is to only allow the OP to post in their thread (all others would have to use PM). Neither of these eliminate the thief, but they reduce their...
  18. What I wish my Gladiator had.

I agree with all of Bama’s ideas. Also: 1. The Aux switches should be standard 2. In addition to heated seats, cooling seats should be offered 3. The tonneau cover should lock The damn key fob has another annoying habit of popping open and stabbing my leg.
  19. newbie here needing some guidance

Thanks, but I probably shouldn’t have replied, just moved on. There’s just something about name calling and insults hurled by someone who doesn’t even know me, has trouble comprehending the written word and then added no value to the thread, that I just couldn’t ignore.
  20. newbie here needing some guidance

I see that reading comprehension is a challenge for you, so let me break it down. “33s will work just fine.” This means I support and agree that his choice of 33s for his JT is good (was that easier to understand?) “Although 4.10 would be a nice improvement over the stock 3.73.” This is...
