So, a couple of weeks ago, we took a trip up to Steinjager/AceEngineering (now in Bushnell, IL) and picked up my JT sliders.
Started to install them myself, and ran into 2 of the bolts that wouldn't break free no matter what we did.. so decided, we'd just have the local dealership handle it...
To be FAIR, I'd not seen any of the Ace bumpers being worked on, while we were there. I did see some of the tube type of bumpers that are produced under the Steinjager brand, however.
Still, I'll be interested in how your LOD ones come out. Been on the fence about getting OEM Rubicon steel, or...
Basically, they want all of their future "rugged" parts to be under the Ace brand, is all, and not the steinjager brand, which tends to be more budget friendly.
Thus, they don't want to muddy the water by putting budget friendly stuff in with Ace, and heavy duty in with Steinjager, so 2...
Alright... so I've returned from the Steinjager/Ace Engineering manufacturing plant, just now... and I gotta say, I'm actually feeling better, now, than I was before this whole thing.
After chatting with John, and their foreman, Steinjager has actually gotten all of Ace's equipment added to...
Heard from John, today. I'll be picking mine up, later this week, from their shop.
Will post photos of them, for those that were wondering if build quality is changing, after I pick them up. (and, obviously, after they're installed)

Approaching 10 weeks. Reached out to John, on Monday night. Haven't heard anything back, yet.
Ordered last weekend of May.
Crossing my fingers... But not holding my breath.

Agree with samw5, here.... PLA warps in relatively low temps, and UV tends to make it brittle. Suggest printing in PETG at the very least, if you don't want to deal with the fumes from ASA or Nylon.
Also, based on the above photos, you could also offer a smoother surface, by enabling ironing on...
Lol, nah.. my name was originally came up with, back in my elementary school days, when I first started playing D&D. We we're learning about the Caspian Sea.. I decided to change the spelling up, and have been using "Caspien" for various things ever since :)
So no, I'm not a "real" Caspian, but...
Excellent idea, can't wait to watch all the videos.
I'll also be interested in the total weight for your setup, as I've thought about doing a few similar things, and unfortunately, starting with the Rubicon reduces my total payload capacity, especially once you factor in the passengers.
Oh...
Just got an update from John at Steinjager on my order (sliders)... looks like they're still 2 weeks out from having it complete.. which puts them 1 week past the original timeframe given by John, and waaay outside of the 4 weeks given by Ace.
*Sigh*
Not trying to be a smartass, here, just asking.. but you know you can change the layout on the buttons, right? There's a color theme/scheme option under.. display I think it is.
The different themes change the colors, shapes, etc...
I had that option in my 2018 Renegade, so I ASSUME if you...
There are bugs with the camera module from time to time. Usually completely hard rebooting the head unit is the approach I use.
(This is the method I use with the 8.4")
Start the Jeep, and if the backup camera is acting wonky, I'll press and hold the power button on the radio down for about...
Happen to have a trailer hitch installed? I actually had a clunk that would happen around 11mph, and it took me a couple of days to figure it out.
(Mine was my hitch locking pin, holding my hitch cover in place.. it'd rotate and do a 'clunk'. After figuring it out, I just rotated it, so it...
Likely because all of the original emails were going to Nick, at ACE, and John is the VP at Steinjager, and has been the one answering everyone's emails.
I will say, Ace's prices have gone significantly northward in the last few weeks... BUT, they're offering 'free shipping' now.
Basically...
Will do.
I actually contemplated a few other sliders, but my wife made it clear that if I want to put a lift on the already high Rubicon (she's 5'2) I needed to have steps that she can use... We compromised on the Ace sliders... Unfortunately, now that everything is out a lot further than...
Just saw this.. Ace hasn't been on here, since June 4th, when they sold everything to Steinjager... so I wouldn't expect any changes to the product any time soon. (if at all)
Still, hopefully Steinjager can take the original designs, and improve on them.
