I am working on my approach to protecting the bottom of my JTR. Looking for some suggestions and healthy discussion about how best to protect the diffs. Is an aftermarket diff cover 'enough'? Is a skid plate a better idea? Is this an either/or question or should I be thinking diff cover AND skid...

Have you contacted Rockhard? I don't expect they'd give you a replacement bellypan or anything like that, but maybe it would give them some ideas to improve future versions of the plate. You know, in case I was considering getting one in the future :)

I briefly considered the deck system, but it would only leave something like 6" of bed depth on top of it. I ended up going with a tonneau cover so I'd have the full depth of the bed to tuck stuff away.
