Based on the mic, I would say it is. I have one sitting on my kitchen table waiting for a reasonable day to install it.... and I guess I need to figure out what I am doing for an antenna mount that doesn't nullify the benefits of the actual antenna.
Really, the subject line says it all. I have just about convinced myself to pull the trigger and order an XTR1 rack system from XO. I am not looking for anything ultra-low as I will be using the rack with an x4s bed cover that I'll still want to be able to roll up. My gut instinct is to get the...
Would you switch to skids if you had the chance, or do the covers do all you need? Do you feel like you ever worry about getting hung up on things you might be able to slide over with skid?
RC is the probably the closest offroad park for me (and not that far to AOAA either), so that's probably...
I picked up my JT on a Wednesday and the following Friday drove from Philly to Raleigh, NC and back ... the following week I drove Philly to West Palm Beach and back. I had 4,000 on it well before my first payment was due.
I'll be honest ... this scared me away from the Bronco. Prior to my JTR I had an '09 F150 with the 5.4L 3V engine in it. The engine lasted 80k miles despite religious oil changes and maintenance. The heaviest use that truck saw was pulling a two-horse trailer (well, well within the towing...
I am working on my approach to protecting the bottom of my JTR. Looking for some suggestions and healthy discussion about how best to protect the diffs. Is an aftermarket diff cover 'enough'? Is a skid plate a better idea? Is this an either/or question or should I be thinking diff cover AND skid...
Have you contacted Rockhard? I don't expect they'd give you a replacement bellypan or anything like that, but maybe it would give them some ideas to improve future versions of the plate. You know, in case I was considering getting one in the future :)
@Sanchofula - would you be interested in a full Rubicon suspension? Looks like you are in Nevada and someone in AZ has one posted in marketplace here: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/2022-rubicon-takeoff-suspension-with-fox-shocks.66507/
I briefly considered the deck system, but it would only leave something like 6" of bed depth on top of it. I ended up going with a tonneau cover so I'd have the full depth of the bed to tuck stuff away.
Lots of fluffy filler, but worthwhile to see some of the stuff the Gladiator in this group does in this video: Ozark Overland Adventures - Colorado
It's a very well equipped JT, but I thought there were a few good segments worth watching.
I decided it was time to put some protection on the underside - frame and axle-side LCA skids for both front and rear, rear shock skids and a hitch skid are all in the mail from Rusty's, Rockhard and Summit. I'm waiting on 3 packages and I'm worse than a kid on Christmas Eve!
How many packages...
