The way they worded it, makes it sound like they're offering a replacement of the same clutch assembly (I hope I'm wrong).
They also make it sound like they easily reimbursed people who didn't want to wait to make their trucks safe. Which is a bunch of HS.
For sure, I hear you: in stop and go, 3.73 would be better than 3.21, which is the opposite of what the quoted post was saying. My main point at least.
The shorter gearing would also be better on average for speeds lower than when you're revving out in the highest gear (more choices to hit an...
I'd put a small 2 stroke Screaming Jimmy in mine in a heartbeat if I could. That would be a hoot rowing through the gears.
I love diesels but don't love having to keep additives on-hand constantly, and don't love downtime & dealing with Joe Service-manager.
I stopped going to the auto washes (even with hard top) just because of all the water spots that show up by the time I get home. I'm not uppity on most things, but water spots are a pet peeve of mine.

Yeah fair point, I'm already braced for disappointment in most new cars. Not that there won't be a hybrid + manual specifically (I don't want the hybrid nor turbo either).

Life is way simpler (and cheaper) if you stick with 33's or 35's in my opinion. Or just run the stock 32s for a while, and see if you even find a need to go bigger at all.
And congrats btw
We should be logical and not emotional on this.
Regarding the original forest fire point, it's definitely easier to put out a gas fire than a Li Ion battery fire.
I am working in this exact space in manufacturing (not in cell phones or small devices), and mitigation plans are more around...
I'm curious what the difference would be if you could put the new mesh on the old grille (or modify the mesh on the old grille to open it up a little more). Just opening up that mesh within the open slots to be more like the new grille seems like it would help.
Actually, for a manual, I'd stall the engine first.
I don't disagree with pulling fuses or educating in general. No need to talk down to people either.
