Ah, OK. If you donāt have a background or interest in mechanical work, especially electrical stuff, it is best left to a professional. I had no idea rates were that high. Yikes! I like to do my own work, saves me the money for more parts. It becomes a vicious cycle where I still end up...
What else do you have them doing? And where in NY are you? If you are even remotely mechanically inclined the lights are pretty easy. Whether or not you have your own tools, factory installed aux switches or something like the VOSwitch set up changes the installation plan and time to perform...
I just bought a quad lock for the Jeep earlier this week. I have been using them on my motorcycle and mountain bike for a few years and just got the 67 Designs rail to dash mount my phone and a go pro in the Jeep. The 67 Designs carbon fiber arms can be bought for use with a 1ā ball and I...
I can appreciate your apprehension given such a bad experience but would also encourage you to not give up on group events just yet. Try a Jeep Adventure Academy vs. a local dealer event, and also take into consideration the good advice from the other members here. If you are out there and...
That is really good! I would be happy with that but I added bigger tires and a lift, both of which do nothing to improve what I get. Iām not really too much worse though. Typically my average is around 18.
Funny thing about mpg average though. In my experience, it will drop a tenth or more...
@NJjeeps91 i have 35x12.50 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATās on a 2021 HA. I have the Clayton 2.5ā lift so not a direct comparison but I have a lot of clearance so you may be fine (see pics for comparison to your 1ā Teraflex). Iām happy to have a conversation, provide measurements, etc. if it...
Adding a couple more photos.
Agree with Jglad15 it may be good to arrange the group by complete novice vs. experience or lifted vs. stock or something.
I need to spend more time here figuring things out. I had intended to paste the link, not the text. I also had a couple of decent videos from Friday but Iām apparently not uploading those correctly either.
thanks for that info. I just searched the forum for Mopar slotted wheels and it looks like I just missed out on a decently priced set of the exact wheels. Sold last month. Sold: North Carolina Mopar slotted wheels
I think they were brand new and already pretty nervous about being stuck on a hill like that. It wasnāt crazy steep but the iPhone pic makes it look less steep than it was. One of the instructors brought it backwards down the hill for them.
The people in the broken Wrangler scored a jackpot though when the hosts from Jeep gave them a brand new red JT Rubicon so they could continue enjoying their day. The next hill had a section to the left that required lockers to climb so they were first up that side. All of us open diff people...
On literally the very first āobstacleā a Wrangler died. They stalled it when the Jeep in front of them stopped in an unexpected place mid-hill, and unfortunately the starter chose that moment to quit working. They backed it down the hill in neutral and since it was a manual trans, several of us...
Loved everything about this Rubi. It was one of their display vehicles. I have been shopping for something other than black wheels and really liked these but I think some of the stock wheels are a little heavy. Might keep an eye on the marketplace for a set of these.
