  1. Trip Report: Jeep Adventure Academy AOAA 9/30/2022

Attended a JAA yesterday. Really nice time with lots of Jeeps, lots of talking about Jeeps, good Jeep people, and some off-roading. Pretty much what you would expect.
  2. Jeep Academy and hurricane Ian

I just did the JAA at AOAA today. Great people and a really good time. There were some challenging spots but nothing crazy. If you have good AT’s or MT’s you shouldn’t have any trouble.
  3. Max off camber tolerance before rolling. . .

I saw the mid 20’s a few times at AOAA today, mostly in the high teens though. 35 x 12.50’s with a Clayton 2.5ā€ lift felt pretty planted and like there wasn’t a lot to worry about. I definitely will not be the one here trying to test the limit though.
  4. Fall run at Rausch Creek 10/22

@JTBurns I can make this one! Count me in.
  5. Pennsylvania Pittsburgh area - WHEELS TIRES 35s?

I have four black 20ā€ wheels from a 2021 High Altitude with 35x12.50 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT’s if you are interested. They have about 4K miles of use on them.
  6. Best Lift Packages

Agree with the others who have wisely recommended that you take it off-road and determine what you need. That being said, I have the Clayton 2.5ā€ Overland + kit with 35’s and am very happy with it. It’s worth your time to give the people at Clayton a call and talk over your needs/wants and...
  7. New member from western Pennsylvania

    Welcome Nunzio!
  8. Bed Racks options that work with hard tonneau cover?

I really like the look of this combo. Do you get wind noise from this design rack? I have experience with square or rectangular vs. oval bars on a roof rack but since this seems to tuck in behind the cab I am curious if that mitigates the effect of the wind on the rectangular tubing with all...
  9. New wheels for reference

    Looks great!
  10. So what about those factory V8 Gladiator rumors?

I’ll admit I don’t know much about long term reliability, but I remember the Cadillac Northstar V8 provided both decent gas mileage when around town or taking it easy, but also had V8 power when wanted it. Did that turn out to not work so well or have reliability issues? Maybe just expensive...
  11. Fun at the Oregon Dunes...

Great videos, the soundtrack is perfect! Your wife’s comments offset by the sound of the exhaust. ? Looks like a beautiful area - we don’t have that in eastern PA.
  12. Interesting Wrangler “dressed” as a JT

Those houses are nice but that’s pretty much the only thing I like on that street.
  13. Jeep trail rated badge = oreo

Oh yeah…and just in case anyone else is wondering the same thing as me … I pried mine off the side of the Jeep and tried to bite it on the off chance that @sass JT has found a previously undiscovered Easter egg where the trail rated badge is secretly made out of Oreo. It isn’t.
  14. Jeep trail rated badge = oreo

Holy heck, Jeep used a Jedi Oreo mind trick to attract customers, and I totally fell for it! ??
  15. Won a Performance check on a dyno- To do or not to do? What do I need to know?

I can’t believe you found a video of your importer taking joyrides! And also showing them damaging your Gladiator! That’s crazy.
  16. Won a Performance check on a dyno- To do or not to do? What do I need to know?

If the mechanic areas are that clean I would feel good about having them work on my stuff. It isn’t the only thing to consider, but typically when a shop is that immaculate it’s not a bad sign. I used to have different motorcycles worked on at either a Vance & Hines shop in California or the...
  17. Installed Cadillac Horns on my Gladiator…very easy mod. Sounds great.

used Caddy horns should be easily and inexpensively sourced from a junk yard, or at least thats how we always used to get stuff like this. my brother and his friends were hot rod car guys and we sourced several of the Northstar V8’s that way for their projects. I recommend taking a can of...
  18. Chime/Bells Noise

You missed an opportunity to tell AstroZombie to google it. Might have kept the revived thread alive a little longer. ?
  19. What is an unpopular opinion you have in the Jeep community?

On second thought, maybe it is built like that on purpose. Obviously this Jeep spends at least some of it’s time cruising the city, and no doubt all the rude as F pedestrians who just step off the curb in front of them piss them off so maybe that ā€˜cow catcher’ purposefully directs the...
