  1. TAZER MINI vs JSCAN

It only turns off the Start/Stop menu in the cluster (the one that says if it's "ready" or "not ready" and maybe a couple of other status messages). It does not turn off ESS.
  2. Trip Report: Jeep Adventure Academy AOAA 9/30/2022

These events are meant for beginners with stock Jeeps. I even asked one of the JAA guys when we were going to air down and he explained we wouldn't be doing that here. ? I enrolled just to get some trail time some place I had never been. I will say that at some obstacles when I rolled up and...
  3. Trip Report: Jeep Adventure Academy AOAA 9/30/2022

LOL! That same JT was at JAA in Ohio a few weeks back. I also took pics to show the wheels and poke because I liked them a LOT.
  4. A novice installs AEV DualSport RT Suspension Kit - DIY writeup w/ photos

To the OP: Awesome job! Looks great! Couple of questions: Did you re-adjust your headlamps? I ran a 2" lift + 37's for about a week before I realized all the "a-holes" that were flashing me were actually right and my headlamps were blinding them. Also, when dropping the front axle: have you...
  5. MOPAR Lift $2k Now?

I paid $1335 back in Nov 2021... looks like they raised it closer to $700!
  6. Jscan question....

So far, no one has been able to do it with JScan. Tazer has the option, but I believe it's a "live" feature meaning you have to have it plugged in all the time to use that feature.
  7. Leveling after lifting

I have the MOPAR not Clayton, but I used the Teraflex 1.5" leveling kit in mine. Very solid. Also, it's 2 pieces so you can choose 1", 0.5" or the full 1.5" to suit your liking.
  8. Is this the same shock as in the MOPAR Lift?

I don't remember where I got this from (maybe an different version of what was posted in the link from @just_another_guy above): The highlights are mine, which is the 3.6L version of the shocks. Looks like you have a Diesel, so make sure the part numbers listed are correct, but the specs are...
  9. Is this the same shock as in the MOPAR Lift?

Yes, but those are MOPAR part numbers. I think @just_another_guy is right, the only way to get these EXACT shocks is from MOPAR, Fox does not sell an OEM version of these.
  10. BF KO2 37" Load C vs Load D

I have the D2's on mine on stock rubicon rims. I wasn't too concerned about the weight difference and wanted the extra sidewall protection from the D2. Also, notice the C2 tire is all-black lettering where the D2 is white. I ended up mounting mine backwards so you can't see the white...
  11. I let my ASS be used for the 1st time...

That's really my only complaint: during the summer the AC compressor also turns off since the motor (and serpentine belt) stop driving the compressor. I have a 6MT and the moment I even think about touching the clutch it starts right back up. By the time my foot hits the floor it's like it...
  12. Mopar lift regrets

Here is a before/after of mine: also a JTR with the MOPAR lift. Even though it's a rubi, the stock track bar allowed the axle to poke about 3/4" to the driver's side. I couldn't really "feel" it when driving, but my OCD got the best of me
  13. I actually love it more now than when I first got it. . .

"This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My rifle is my best friend..." Could help but see the resemblance ?
  14. Not bad for a gasser on 37s

It's crazy how folks with the same rig get wildly different experiences. I live in Ohio, which I think is about the same as MN in terms of elevation, etc. I haven't reset my average MPG gauge since I bought the truck (I do reset the trip odo's, but not the "main" MPG gauge) and I'm averaging...
  15. Control arm drop brackets?

One other thing to check, because I went through a very similar process as you did with my daughter's JK (swapping springs back to OEM, etc). The geometry correction brackets definitely helped, but what finally stopped her DW was the angle of the steering stabilizer. It was not very "angled"...
  16. Not bad for a gasser on 37s

I have the same, but with a 6MT. I can get 17-18 MPG at 75-80MPH with some northern KY hills (nothing like Colorado for sure). I use ACC when on the hwy and leave it in 4th gear for the most part.
  17. 2" mopar lift vs 2.5" AEV Dual Sport

I've got 9000 miles on my MOPAR lift with teraflex spacers up front to take away the rake. Running KO2 37's. No complaints about the suspension. Took it offroad a couple weeks back and it was the only JT that could do some of the obstacles with no spotter physically helping (rocking, pushing...
  18. Factory Alarm output - Rubicon almost stolen from my driveway

Problem is, look how much they charge when the free trial is over! The only one that provides "Theft Alarm" and "Stolen Vehicle Tracking" is $26/mnth. Ford Pass (my wife has it) is 100% free. I think for the price we pay for these, XM Guardian should be as well...
  19. 37" All Terrains. What options am I missing?

I had KO2's as the factory tire on my 2018 JL and absolutely loved them. On my JK I ran Yoko's and the KO2's were so much better on wet roads. I have since put KO2's on my son's and daughter's JK's (33's and 35's) and I run the 37's on my JT. Never had a traction issue on or off road wet...
  20. Biggest tire size with 4:10 gears??

I have 37's (KO2's) on my rig with 4.10's with a manual. City driving is fine, although I miss the "fun" of 3rd gear I had on 33's. Now it's somewhere between 2nd and 3rd with no happy medium. On the highway, my sweet spot in terms of MPG is 4th gear at 76 MPH (about 2600 RPM and the oil pump...
