Looks good. So thats what the mopar rack looks like. Im getting that rack, mostly due to it being designed for the truck. I have two 10' kayaks so will use a double Curt holder in a side by side set up. Anything unique w putting the holders on? Are they stout enough for interstate runs...
I know, old thread, but if I use the mopar controller is there the supporting wiring behind the dash to hook it up, the jeep was ordered with the trailer/tow option if that means anything
Quadratec is who I got the normal locking one from, and its pretty chincy (sp?) are they for gas AND diesel, I figured the diesel one was different....
Have never seen a locking fuel door, but I bought a locking cap from one of the vendors, and it goes on and locks, but it moves around like its loose. Havent tried it yet, plus, you have to use the key to relock when you put it back on....kinda seems like $38 or something dollars wasted. Looked...
After this subject string I started looking, and low and behold, Mopar makes a set for the JT, $240, fit the rain rails, but specifically says not to attach to the front removable panels. If they sell them I would think they have been vetted to work in this application
that looks like a nice piece, I too am very wary of a gutter mount with the fiberglass panels. Assuming the load is pressing down but the lateral load of the equipment in the wind at speed (interstate) pulling on the rack would worry me. I dont want any damage to the roof panels
I was just looking for a splitter of some type....the Tazer as you know doesnt use the OBD but the Banks does. So that answers my question, need a custom cable (ANOTHER ONE), i already have an SGateway extension, then the SG to OBD cable, now I need ANOTHER cable, lol. This 4-way adapter doesnt...
I know, old thread, but I dont want the derringer, but I do want the pod mounted gauges from Banks. But I have the Tazer already married up in the OBD port. How does that work? some of the Tazer items require it to be left plugged up, and Im assuming the Banks gauges use the port also.
Yes, the frame paint sucks basically unless its on a straight, flat part. Any welds, around bends, a lot of the suspension etc. is showing rust or paint cracks/loss. Several places on the bottom of the frame rails were rubbed down to the base metal. looks like a fork lift bashing or something...
Been awhile on this one....is everything working ok, like the temp has reduced, no probs with filter changes, oil pressure is staying good with no issues etc....
I see another company came out with an adapter for the gas motors, but is building one for the oil burners, but it eliminates the...
nice except for putting in a winch....Im getting under mine today to drain the fuel filter, Im gonna take a hard look, because I want to do this myself.
Your lugs are bottoming out before meeting the wheel mount surface, the comparison to the stock lugs means nothing. Its the thickness or design of the mounting surface (where the lug tightens against) that is the determining factor
Yeah, if I had known that during acceleration there would be a constant suction rattling kinda of noise I may have not done it. Im thinking its the restrictive manner in which the air has to pass to get into the air box...gonna play around with it some and see what changes I can make.
