Today I came out of the Home Depot and found my gas door open. I think once they saw it was diesel they moved on, but I would still like a locking fuel door. Does anyone make one? Can't seem to find one, just bad locking caps.

Frankly, I'd lock the cap, but not the fuel door. Fuel doors can so easily be pried open with a screwdriver. Show me one that can't be opened with a tool you carry in your pocket.
Even if not successful, you will have body damage to the truck.
The stock doors are so flimsy, they twist and bend, it would take a whole new door, solid hinges, etc. - but then again, they'll try, they'll pry - then you have damage that exceeds the cost of fuel.
I could open almost any fuel door, locked or not, with a small bar I can hide in my pocket. And anyone out to steal fuel will know that once that door is open, the rest is easy.
At least with a locking cap - there's not as likely to be body damage. It might slow someone down. It's deeper down, harder to get pried off.

Question - Lowe's and Menards here have parking lot cameras - so does Target, that's how they found a hit and run driver here a few years back - parking lot footage....
Does Home Depot not have parking lot cameras?
If it's dark, even twilight, and there are no cameras, thieves know they have a lot of time.
I wish it was legal to boobytrap vehicles with 2,000 volt charges, or even like an electric fence. But some kid will walk up to the truck and mess with it and get hurt and no one wants that.
How about an ink pack behind the fuel door? Something like some banks use, or stores use on clothing.

Have never seen a locking fuel door, but I bought a locking cap from one of the vendors, and it goes on and locks, but it moves around like its loose. Havent tried it yet, plus, you have to use the key to relock when you put it back on....kinda seems like $38 or something dollars wasted. Looked everywhere for one for the diesel

Mopar makes a cap that is pricey, and you can key it to match your OEM Fob:

Mopar Locking Gas Cap for 18-21 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT | Quadratec
Yeah, but 20 gallons of gas at 4.54 (2 days go, don't know what it is today), if they take even just 18 gallons (say you drove 10 miles after filling) you've paid for the cap - check with Benny for his price and shipping. I'd love the key'd to fob thing. I hate having to use a special key to take the cap off my SX4 when I fill. At least it goes back on just by pushing it into place, key to remove.
When I have my JT, the fob is always in a holster on my belt loop, very simple to use to unlock a cap like this. Don't even have to reach into a pocket!

Don't bother. I spent a lot of time and energy because of the same thing the OP describes, I was finding my gas cap door open and I figured I'd better get a locking gas cap. The one I went with was an ExtremeTerrain gas cap that seemed to fit really good, but after a couple of weeks, started throwing check engine light codes, vac errors, that kind of thing. First thing he asked me was, had i changed out the gas cap. I told him what I had done, and he said it's not necessary because the way the tank is designed, it won't allow a tube down to the tank to siphon.

I bought a locking cap through Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GRHTDL2/
You unlock it, remove the cap, take the key out, and it'll relock once replaced on the filler tube. No need to fart around with the key a second time. And no errors with over 40k miles.
However, this type of cap is easily defeated if you know how.
...it's not necessary because the way the tank is designed, it won't allow a tube down to the tank to siphon.
A long enough hose slides right into the tank on my 2021: that's why I got the locking cap.

we are near $7/ gal (regular fuel) up here right now (with all of the conversions) and so far have not run into any problems, and I've heard that most of the aftermarket locking caps are throwing codes, so I wont be buying one until a better solution is found

Technically I would rather have them steal my gas that way than drill a hole in my tank…..

I would think they would just drill a hole in your tank. Especially on a high clearance vehicle, you can get a gas can under it. A lot easier than siphoning.
That's exactly what they do when there's any privacy at all or they have the time. It's happened around here according to my wife's friends. You can buy those oil change containers you can set under the tank, use a sharp awl and make a hole in the tank, let gas drain into that container, pick it up and walk away with it.

That's why I've said before in threads like this - let them take it the easy way - they WILL take it, one way or another.
If I was going to do anything, it would be a locking cap - because out in public they are generally in a hurry and won't spend time, but in your garage or while you sleep, they'll take all the time they need.

I've heard that most of the aftermarket locking caps are throwing codes,
Seriously?
I know people say these Gladiators will have a fit if the cap isn't on, or is loose or whatever, but I did actually fail to put the cap back on once and drove around for a while. My truck didn't care. I only knew because as I was driving along I had one of those feelings like I was forgetting something but couldn't figure out what. I finally decided to pull over and walk around the truck........
