She has many names:
The Jeep because it’s a Jeep.
The Truck because it has a bed, therefore it’s a truck.
When I’m working on it I prefer:
SON OF BITCH
or
MOTHER ?!
Yeah, broke both latches off the soft top and tore the metal bracket with the weather stripping off the bottom of the door. Thankfully no damage to the soft top frame. Cost about $200 to replace the latches.
I remove the top snorkel in the winter because snow and ice build up between the snorkel and windshield. The wipers start hitting on it. That’s the only reason I switch to the low intake in the winter.
I haven’t experienced any significant water in the airbox after driving in heavy rain/snow. I...
I’m happy with the RR snorkel. In the winter I remove the upper part and run it with just the lower because snow and ice build up around and behind it and causes issues with the wipers.
Not the best photos of the snorkel, but it’s the only pics I have on my phone at the moment.
BTW. I modified...
I installed the fox 2.0 AT with the yeti track bar. Basically the same as yours without the reservoir?? I think I remember I had to turn the adjustment brackets on the track bar up or down to get good clearance.
Also, I had to bend the replacement mounting bracket for the stabilizer. The bolt...
I’ve got the MTX275. I mounted the antenna inside my snorkel and the black box behind the glove box and off to the right. I was to use double side tape to kinda wedge it in that area. I only used it at the Jeep jamboree, but it seems to work great. For power, I tapped off the back of the...
I think your correct. The big bronco is going to win over many Jeep fans. It’s an impressive vehicle. For me, I wouldn’t consider it an option. I think it will take many years for the bronco to have the same aftermarket support and event’s to match Jeep. They probably will never be able to match...
Had a great time. Jamboree staff was great and very helpful on the trails. Was able to meet a few people from all over the east coast and learn about some of the other jamborees. I don’t have lockers and I didn’t know what to expect so I stayed on the 3-4 trails (class 4). I’d say 60% of the...
Heading out for my first Jeep jamboree tomorrow. Going to Killington, Vt. I did all the mods I could in preparation for some off road trips……..for now. Front locker and possibly a SC in the future.
- front bumper
- winch
- tires
- rims
- lift
- skid plates
- sliders
- snorkel (just for looks)...
Just want to give a public thank you to Jen and Bridget at Northridge. I purchased a snorkel for my JT though Northridge.
I had two problems with it and both times Northridge helped make it right. The first time I had missing parts. Jen quickly helped me get the replacements. The second time, I...
Honestly, I don’t know if I tried them? I sat down one day and just started calling everyone. Like a dumb ass, I didn’t make list. I was just going to go with the first place that would work with me.
At this point, I have lots of things I can spend the money on. $1000+ gets a lot of cool Jeep...
Great price, thanks. After thinking about it, I think I’m going to hold out and see if I can find a set closer to home. I’d like to be able to see them in person and not have to deal with shipping.
I’m having a hell of a time finding a place that will install a locker on my 2020 JT.
It seems that the biggest problem is that I have the tow package with the wider axle and 4:10’s?? I have called 5 places in my area and no one will do it.
ACI Auto Group in East Windsor - they told me they...
