A friend recently ran over a raised pothole repair in his BMW i4. He said he was going about 40/45 mph. Damaged steering box, strut, tie rod, and some other steering and suspension bits (no body damage). $21k in repairs.
Nothing exciting. Had code P0420. Dealer replaced catalytic converter. Parts and labor covered under warranty (8 yr, 80k) and rental car covered under Max Care.

I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the passenger side cup holder. I had one, but it partially blocked the view to the mirror. With a soda can in it, the mirror was completely blocked. It could be just a function of my height (eye level) and seat position, but it was pretty bad for me...
