The 8k was more of a min. Looking at the 9.5k Smittybuilt new one. Looks like one of the lighter ones with some nice features. The honest truth is mine will rare if not never get used.... but it will look cool! :CWL:

Why do the manufactures hide what there winches weigh? Warn, not on there page, Smitybuilt nope not on the spec page. Jeeze WTH? So I put to you all; What's the lightest weight winches? Assume synthetic rope. Smitybuilt 9500 S looks like it's apx 60 pounds, but that's a "ship weight". Warn...

For the OP; You are going to be close to max, pay attention to the load (ie where it sites) don't load the truck up, go slow, and you would probably be fine. Check all your boxes; tire pressure, tongue weight, speed lower. For the DaveA vs crowd: Ya, ya all miss the Magnuson part of Dave's...

Serious answer; As others stated, drop to factory tires and or regear. Running big tires robs a lot of power and changes how that power is delivered. You would get a lot of usability back and it would be a lot less than a diesel. But, the diesel aside for the heat issues is an awesome rig.

Max tow package and a supercharger is my plan to defeat the payload and power issues. Aux tank should solve the range issue but not the mpg ?

I went with the pro's for my pillar mounts. Some times more is not better; fog snow. I figured the middle was the best balance of power out put but not over outputting. I did do the SAE ones.
