While the Rav4 Prime essentially has the same issues (stale fuel), it allows the owner to determine when the ICE should be used. This is, in part, due to ethanol at 10% in most states that will cause corrosion of the fuel system, at least that's Toyota's claim. I expect that it's true at least...
Wow, 10 grand. We did pay, or my wife paid, 5 grand. They wanted 7.5, but she said she'd only pay 5 and Pueblo Toyota said yes. And I got 6% off MSRP on my Gladiator, but it's her money. Still I reap the benefits. We also looked at the Volvo.
We have 6.23 kW rooftop solar in 310 days of sun New Mexico. We’re shifting over to all electric as well. The heat pump is the big expense. Want to take advantage of the new tax rebates while we can. We have a PHEV coming too as I said above.
So what PHEV do you now have Dan? We have a 2023 Rav4 Prime XSE on the boat from Japan right now. It will partly make up for my JTRs terrible mileage, but I need it for field work and fun. Best of both worlds.
Well, they lost me. I've had five Tacomas, and after three recalls on my 2018 TRDPro, I went back to Jeep, and glad I did. The JTR is a much better off-road machine. I'm not keen about the wind noise from the top, but that's the only issue. And, damn the gearing is low (have and MT) compared...
In FL, CA, TX or? I just paid 2.99 in NM with a 20 cent discount = 2.79. The oil companies would have to nearly quit producing to get that high other than in CA or unless there was a World War. I just paid 4.35 in San Diego three days ago.
Brent crude was $77.84 today down 4+%. It's tempting to say it's people buying EVs and PHEVs, although the Wrangle 4XE IS the fastest selling PHEV, and only PHEVs sold better than gas and diesel vehicles last year. We'll see if the oil price stays down if PHEVs sell as well next year. Why gas...
