Ok - I hear that.
Its not great that after one time I have a lug that is starting to rust.
Does anyone know if I can purchase better lug nuts.
Something that does not have a thin chrome cover?
Took the gladiator to the dealer yesterday for the leak and to complain about the damaged/abused lug nuts. They spent an hour looking at it.
1 - They said the factory overfilled the rear end and that caused the leak. Directions to take it home and check for leaks and bring it back within 500...
Well looks like I'm in the group as well.
Passenger side is a mess with a puddle in the rim.
Got my Overland in November - has 2500 miles.
AND I just noticed when the dealer rotated the tires at 1500 miles they put the lugs on hard with an impact wrench - found several rear lugs at 155 ftlbs -...
Looks like you put different shocks on too.
That might be a good thing for me to do as well.
I remember putting air shocks on a car way back - didn't work that great.
Can you recommend the set you used?
Thanks for getting dirty!!
Thanks John...
DO you have any photos of the air bags in place?
Do they fit snug top to bottom or just press against the springs horizontally?
I'm not looking fo lift - only to keep the sag to a min and stop the bouncing/softness.
Just noticed this post.
I'm having troubles with bags myself:

Would love to install bellows in place of the bumper but cant find any kit or anyone who has tried to...
I pressed for an answer from firestone and the answer I get -
"These bags are not designed to expand vertically, they expand horizontally and fill in the gaps between the coils, restricting the coils ability to compress. The bottom rubber puck is there to protect the bag if it does manage to...
Hi,
I'm having trouble with getting the right airbags to work and wonder if others have had a different (better) experience.
I purchased the Firestone 4148 from truckspring.com - great customer service.
The instructions were flat out wrong - took almost 2hrs trying to stuff that tough bag...
I've had a diesel overland edition with all the options since November.
After about 2500 miles I still think it is in the top 5 most fun drivers I've had. My 85 Supra was the best!!
I bought this because we needed a small (narrow) truck to tow a light camper and so my wife would be ok driving...
I used one of my free three oil changes last week and the dealer told me they put in Rotella T-6. They were genuinely surprised when they found out it took more than 8 quarts. Even came out and asked me if I knew how much it took! NOT a great confidence builder there! They did not write what oil...
There a lots of times I pull into low areas and the backup camera just doesn't cut it - hanging out the window.
So if I understand correctly I could, in theory, put a switch on the dash to close the seat belt circuit and that would work.
It's a challenge!
Not sure if this is the right way to do this but I have a scenario where I want to do something but the Jeep won't let me or is not equipped to do things right. I wonder if there are other situations so specific that you only run into them occasionally.
Here is mine:
I drove my Gladiator into a...
Finally installed the Redarc brake controller.
I got a lot of great ideas from folks here on the forum so I want to share how it turned out.
The process was fairly simple, once I decided where to put things. I have the Overland without aux switches (I refused to pay that much for a handful of...
I have the Honda EU3000is and it runs my 13.5k air unit well.
Almost went with the twin 2200W as they are lighter individually, are shorter so they fit in smaller places and they provide 4K watts. In the end it was the tank size that won out.
Heard good things about the Yamaha and they are a...
