Yup, exactly what I am running. And I made the converter and muffler removable. Not the greatest for theft, but nice to have if you want a test pipe for crawling, or things need fixed in the future
I am no longer a sponsor and unlike superman, there is no chamber to go back:-( But the mods were cool enough to let me keep my history on this user name.
So I went out and did some tuning with this setup. I do not gave a good handle on what has changed yet, but it has changed for the better by a wife margin. It accelerates so smooth and sounds phenomenal. I hope nothing breaks from here on out because this power plant is exactly what I wanted!!!!!!
When the cams have damage it will misfire and the fuel cooling will hand an injector and shut it down. Letting it sit resets the Injector and it runs fine until you give the beans.
Jeep actually has the most confounded O2 sensor setup I have ever had the joy of messing with......not.
At any rate they use not quite WBO2 sensors and trend oscillations to determine lambda. To add to this there is a sensor at each head port before the catalyst and on in the center of rhe...
Well. I was gonna add this to the other cam thread but no cam do. So I started a new thread.
Basically when you cams fail it allows pretty rich transients to escape into the exhaust. Doing this for more than a couple weeks pretty much ensures catalytic failure.
I looked at stock, and while...
Actually the short block on the pentastar is not bad. It is not gonna set any land speed records but it is fine for mild boost. If assembled correctly. I have seen many many overtorqued critical fasteners. Main caps, cam caps and so on.
The issue is the heads and control system.
This engine...
I wish it was as easy as building a stout rotating assembly. The current Achilles heel, is the valvetrain, and I have spoke with comp, and they want 10k to think about launching tooling. With the right tuning the bottom end lives all day long I have 37K on mine and most of that at 12 psi. I hVe...
If your in a real bind the Gen 2 steps use the power window motor from the front door of 2007 F150. I purchased the actual Ford part and my steps have been flawless
Unfortunately, you have managed to get most of the known issues in one vehicle.
I don't believe your O2s went out. When the cam fails it takes out the catalytic converter with it. It takes a while longer for that to show up. When the first dealership did the diagnostic, did they actually remove...
