My advice would be to put a couple of DJI or Gopro cameras underneath. Record videos in different locations. Sound travels through the suspension and frame and you'll spend money on parts you don't need.
I had a rear pinion issue that I thought was something going on with the front suspension...
Actually.... that's pretty good. I bought a couple jugs from Walmart (Central Florida) for $3 ea. Filled up the JT and the JK, but the Ram is still empty. Think I might run out to Family Dollar and get a couple more. Hopefully it's around the same price you paid.
Thanks for the tip! Hopefully...
Uh oh! You brought SoFlo into the conversation.🤦🏾‍♂️🤣 I've never been a fan of their builds. But... LIke you, I've never been a fan of dealer builds anyway. When I had my past RAM, I saw a Black Widow RAM at a dealership and thought about trading. But when I saw the price tag and saw what it...
Just a random thought/conversation piece.
So, I saw a post where people were debating bought not built or built not bought. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s all about what the person feels it is. But I’m trying to figure out why this is such a big issue with some folks.
I built another...
Oh yea. In that type of climate, I would definitely go aluminum. I didn't go aluminum because I was out of town and I had to get what I can. I had to find the closest dealership where I can get one that day. Otherwise, I would have went aluminum. Had one sitting in the cart. Lol
My first one...
If it leaks from the bottom, it's possible that the connector is broken and an aluminum reservoir won't fix that. It's the hose connection itself. If it leaks from the top, it's most likely the inlet where the hose connects to. An aluminum reservoir would fix that. Determine where the leak is...
Yep. I kinda felt like the pinion bearings would be a part of the problem. Been there, done that. That's why I posted the link to the video. Sometimes you just never know and some issues are hard to narrow down. Glad they found your problem.
Did they go with stock (Ball) pinion bearings or did...
You could always install frame/axle air bags instead of in spring air bags. Just another option. I have no problem with articulation when wheeling. But then again, I didn't have articulation issues when I had the in spring air bags. They do cost more though.
I used a jumper like you did, but I went straight to the battery and checked the compressor. I tapped into the wires going into the compressor and applied 12v straight to the clutch.
Nah. Checking them are not as hard as you think. I know you already dropped it off at the dealership. So this is for next time. Sometimes it something easy and simple and sometimes it's complicated and major. But...... It may save you a little headache.
You need to check all fuses, z fuse array, canbus star connector, and (physically not visually) check all related connections. You have to rule out the easiest things to check. Been there, done that. And one of those could easily be the culprit.
