Was actually back on Saturday. Sent her to a new home. Traded in the 20 White Overland for the 23 Black Rubi.
With the year end incentives and such, I simply couldn't resist the upgrade.
I say no to swapping to the 21, for many of the reasons listed. Yes, you get a Rubi, and miles are low, but you're still about to run out of (bumper-bumper) warranty.
Price out a new one, start with 0 miles, and a brand new warranty. There are huge discounts on the end of year 23s, and some...
Redd, I have this same roll up that Kevman discribed above. Brand is Tyger. For the price, I've been super happy with it. Its still in such good shape I'm moving it to my (soon to have) new truck. It's no longer 125 bux but still very reasonably priced I'm sure.
Interesting on SelecTrac. To go to 4H is it just a push to the right, or push to the right and then down a bit? The diagram on the shift lever is a bit vague.
I'm trying to imagine if you need a ton of side force (that would be harawkward from the sitting position in the driver seat) or is it...
Oh snap, never had that problem, they usually come out pretty easy. I take them out in spring and put them back in fall. Was it seized to the threads or the hinge liner?
4L can be a real pain to get it rolling slow, pop trans into neutral, and down into 4L.
4High though, easiest way is to get rolling, push the gas a little....then release the gas and as soon as you do, pull the lever to 4H. That's when all the gears should be floating. Do that a number of times...
Fantastic info, thanks Papa! That makes sense to me, it has to be ready to engage at any moment, so having to lock the FAD at the same time would be more lag.
Really interesting that it's sitting there ready to pounce when you're at a complete stop, so it reacts by easing off, not scrambling...
Bringing this old thread back, has a lot of good info.
Dealer finally waved enough money under my nose to surrender my 20JTONE for a 23 JTR, pick it up this coming saturday. It comes with the RockSelec whatever you wanna call it 4 auto. Wasn't shopping for that, but it's there so...bonus I...
I got this on all three of my "Wave" oil changes. My truck is in the service bay, I'm in the waiting room, dude comes over
"Is that your Gladiator?" Yes sir...
"We want to put you in something new and better for the same price!!".
Ah great, I wanted to upgrade to a Rubi or Mojave.
"I can get...
I love very crisp highs, so the MBQ sounds like the right ticket for me. I was thinking of just getting the JC1-108, which is the top dash speaker from the set. No plans on touching the kick panel ones, I just want the highs brightened a bit.
Thanks for this video. For the most part I'm happy with the alpine system (I think the factory headliner really helps too).
I really just want crisper highs, I'm torn between just dropping in MBQuart 2 ways in the top of the dash, or that Terra Acoustics front replacements.
I know some of the most expensive wheels don't always have a center cap, but mentally when I see a missing center cap it just make me thing something fell off or isn't finished. That's just me.
