Awesome!
Ya, Chinooks, even the ones with AR probes. Also Hueys, Jet Rangers, Cobras, MH-6 littlebird's on that side of the militarie. Then Super Huey II's, B412's MD530's, and AW-139's for another part of the government over there. Also Canadair 50's/70's and EMB120's in the regionals.
All done flyin now. Just holding down a chair and writing things these days. Oh I went to WTI, Class 84-1. Check out the class pic. THe guys with the white german shepherd heads wearing sun glasses were the couple Armee aviators they hosted in that class. I flew in the CH-53 section.

Gladiator is looking great Don!! Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to hearing how the upcoming trip goes.
Rob, you and Treavor made it happen for me on this past trip. IKamper was awesome in the mountains. We even watched a bear cruise our campsite from atop that full-size Fishbone rack you sold me!
Thanks guys, Awesome company!

I found the air filter to be a little bit overworked. All those dusty trails in New Mexico and Colorado.

So I decided to do something about it.

Going to add a snorkel.

Just ordered that complete Flow master system. I considered the Mopar air filter box with the bigger filter and intake tube, but a $700+ That is completely stupid. Then you still need the snorkel for almost another $700.

The whole flowmaster system to my door was sub $750. What a bargain.

Another reason for that setup. Always on the hunt for HP and lightweight, I think I may be opting for a ported intake manifold and Hemi 5.7 TB. that will move a bunch more air, and as long as the software has some plus and minus built in, I should be good, and that will have setup should good programming ever come available. I consider the snorkel a good first step and maybe draw air from a bit higher in the dust cloud.

I know an intake itself doesn't net much gain, but cleaner cooler air from a snorkel combined with a tb and ported mani is something I'd like to see the results of for sure.

In the days of carbureted engines, porting and port matching the intake to the head ports was (and still is) a huge thing. Just port matching can matter.
Even the shape of the port can make flow differences, meaning HP differences.

Wonder how much material is in there, I think it's a composite.

^^^MEEE 2, true, and, a lot! ;-)

So the game plan will be to install the snorkel and make sure all that works without giving me and cels.

Following that, say deeper into the winter, I'll tear the top of the motor off and send it away and pick up a ported TB or the Hemi 5.7 unit. I would expect to pick up 10-20 normally, however without a tune, it is most likely only laying the groundwork for a mo-betterer tune when someone with no life finally cracks that code.

Looking at the larger picture, this little motor is starting to fascinate me. I have a lot of experience with powerful V6 engines. I ran two Grand Nationals 87 with a 231, and a wheel-standing, bumper-dragging 86 with a 284 that laid down 1027HP.

The Jeep needs none of that, but a little huffer for sure interests me as the quickie go-to mod to all the power I'd ever want. But my interest goes deeper. I'm not sure I wouldn't want to pick up a used motor and do the deal on it. Rods, pistons, camshafts, head porting

Livernois has done some tuning on the 3.6. It sounds like you may need something more then a base tune, you might want to talk to them.

Some on this forum have played around with a few of the SC options that exist with varying degrees of success, you may want to take a look at some of those threads as well.
Sorry but we are not supported. They and everyone else, only support the earlier generation computers.

Therefore, we are not able to turbo/supercharge either. I think we are limited to ceramic wax and oil changes, unfortunately.

Ah Crud, I forgot about that. At the time I was following those threads I had a 20. Just switched to the 23 a few weeks ago.
