My preference is to sell the whole setup. I will throw in the front spacers that I didn’t use with it. It won’t be off my truck until end of week. New lift arriving tomorrow.
Yes I did measure but then lost a bit with the bumper and winch. I would estimate I ended up about 2” on the nose after the bumper and winch but was closer to 2.5” before. Rear is exactly 3/4” up as it’s a spacer. Shocks are stock no changes. I was planning to add a 2” extension at some point...
Thanks for the info and I agree, its crazy how big I used to think my TJ was running on 33s and even crazier how big I thought my YJ was on 31s. And now thinking that my JT on 37s may not be big enough.
Appreciate the feedback @Desert Outlaw, 4.5" sounds huge and even more if you are saying you actually got 6" of lift. I have no need for that much lift. Honestly I can fit 37s under my Jeep currently and my 35s don't rub at all on rocky trails at Rausch Creek. I am sticking with the 2.5" lift...
Rubicon Gladiator. I am currently running a 2" Synergy coil up front and a 3/4" daystar spacer in the rear as when I got the truck there were very few lift options available. My goal now is to go with a complete lift system that gets a little more height to move up in tire size. I also have a...
The issue is that I read some saying the EVO 2.5" lift is much taller than advertised. The Rubicon stock suspension while different isnt any taller than other Jeep. It comes with 33" instead of 32" tires so is a little taller due to tire height. The fenders are also higher giving it a taller...
Anyone else running the EVO 2.5" lift and have experience with the actual height? I am running a JT Rubicon and have a heavy front bumper with winch so curious how much actual height I will see with this lift verses a 3.5" Metalcloak.
Absolutely. Just didn’t want someone buying it thinking they would get 3.5” of lift. Or avoiding it because they thought they were getting the same springs and shocks as the rubicon.
The Mopar 2” lift is taller coils and new shocks so you are not using the stock rubicon or sport suspension components and it is different from the stock rubicon suspension. It is actually coils that are 2” taller than stock rubicon. The stock rubicon doesn’t sit higher, it has higher fenders...
Custom 2” lift with Synergy front 2” lift coils and 3/4” daystar rear spacers. Easy way to give a much higher stance and fit 35s under a non rubicon or 37s under a Rubicon. I am going bigger so need a complete lift. This setup is simple and helps significantly with the weight of a front bumper...
Many Jeeps over the years and loved every one of them. My issue is I get bored after they are built and start looking for the next build. Here is the list starting when I was 16:
89 Wrangler YJ
97 Wrangler TJ
88 Suzuki Samauri (not a Jeep but too fun to not include)
72 CJ5 - 304 V8
00 Jeep...
Mine is finally resolved. They replaced the rear ended and that didn’t help and finally replaced the rear driveshaft (should have done that from the start) and the noise of gone.
Ask them to try removing the rear driveshaft and drive in 4wd (making it front wheel drive) and see if the noise...
I am running the same airbags and have had good success. I also have a 2” lift on a rubicon and noticed a good bit of sag from my 4500lb camper and the airbags make the ride much better with less sag. The bags aren’t noticeable at all when not inflated. No idea what they inflate to I just hook...
Ask your shop to define complete. Complete is a variable based on how high you lift your Jeep. Doing spacers verses coils doesn’t change the parts you need. The height you lift is what drives the need for a new trackbar, new shocks, new control arms. At 2” (coil or spacer) you will likely notice...
Updated:
Rubicon with 13k miles
2” Synergy lift, 35” Nitto Ridge Grapplers
LOD bumper with winch
Mixed driving about 50/50 city and highway
Average 17 mpg typically
If driving 60-65 on highway I can get 19 on a road trip
If all in town driving can get as low as 13 on a tank
