  3. Possible bad news

I call bull feces on this. If such an email existed it could easily be redacted to protect the leaker. I’m in constant communication with the owner of a dealership and he says no info exists. Dealership employees are usually the very last people in the world to know anything about new cars.
  4. FCA: I just 'intentionally' spent 5 Grand fixing old jeep. In case JT price is stupidly high. fyi

Wow what a refreshing response. Not often we come across a grown ass man who can take criticism like a grown ass man. You sir impress me. I know what they said about pricing but that was a very long time ago and early in the program. Jeep can earn a premium on Gladiator because it is a Jeep.
  5. FCA: I just 'intentionally' spent 5 Grand fixing old jeep. In case JT price is stupidly high. fyi

At the risk of starting and argument I must say that “letter” to FCA is among the dumbest things I have ever seen on this forum. All you have in pricing is assumptions. You really have no idea what the price of the truck will be but you run out and make all of these statements as if you know...
  6. Humor Me...Could it be Less?

I am not trying to be confrontational but we do not know the price. How can we have an intelligent discussion about price when price doesn’t exist?
  7. Why no E-Torque?

I still believe that it is a very simply designed system. Every engine with a heater core has the exact same system as etorque coolant lines run to the battery pack same as the heater core, albeit a longer run but still not a big deal. Many mid-engine sports cars have front mounted radiators...
  8. Why no E-Torque?

It is not about the fuel mileage for me it is about the 90 lb ft of torque added below 1500 RPM. The system is not all that complicated when you look at it closely. Electric motors driving belts are quite common in industry. The hardest part of making the system work is the software...
  9. Auto or 6-Speed....and why

I am sticking with the auto so that I don’t have to be the one to run to Home Depot 3 or 4 times every weekend because my wife cannot drive a manual. On the mustang, however, I specifically got a 6 speed because the wife cannot drive a stick. Way too much horsepower for her lead foot so she...
  10. Auto or 6-Speed....and why

Auto because I am lazy and I live in Nashville TN, where the shortest distance between two points is a traffic jam.
  11. Why no E-Torque?

A quick scan of the news is how. FCA is NOT in a class action lawsuit for burning down 2.0 owners homes. How many 2018 Jeep JL fires outside of the storage lots can you cite? Only one I know of was. 3.6.
  12. Why no E-Torque?

The fires in the 2.0 were blown way out of proportion. Yes there were a few 2.0 fires but none of them made it to market and there have not been any fires caused by the wiring since the revision.
  13. Why no E-Torque?

  14. Why no E-Torque?

Over on the JL forum it has been confirmed through the 2019 order codes. I haven’t hung around on the JL side for a while to see it it has been retracted or not but I am actually a fan of technology.
  15. Why no E-Torque?

Seems like a no brainer engine choice for Gladiator since it is available in the Ram and coming to JL.
  16. Which trim?

Rubi all the way for me! Because the chicks dig it. Actually I need the capability for my hunting activities. And yeah the chicks
  17. Cloth or Leather?

Perforated leather is an option on JL now.
  18. Cloth or Leather?

I agree 100%. I am dumbfounded that Jeep left this option off both the JL and the JT, especially since the technology already exists across the FCA lineup. Why would a sunny day vehicle designed to remove the top and cruise not have cooled seats as an option?
  19. "Entertained" - awesome 2019 Jeep commercial!

That is me too. I work M,T,R,F hunt on Wednesday and Saturday and go to church on Sunday. I work hard so that if I need mulch done or gravel hauled I can have a "specialist" do it for me.
  20. Official Press Release: 2020 Jeep Gladiator Specs & Photos

I understand and appreciate your passion for what you want. But this topic is brought up and discussed and soundly rejected everywhere on this forum. If someone as dense as I am is able to notice that it is mainly one or two guys discussing the subject in multiple threads on the forum don't...
