Looks nicer at a better price point than others out there. I am hoping to see some with mounting rails on top to allow bike racks and kayak racks to mount on top while keeping gear dry under the cover.
Yes, that seems common in the DC area and every dealer I talked to that does the below invoice pricing seems to charge a similar fee. Browns has it posted on their wall stating it isn't negotiable so they seem fixed on this fee. In my purchase I was accepting of it as the 5% below on a Jeep off...
I bought from Browns in Sterling, VA as well (I live right down the street) and they did very well with both my trade and Gladiator Rubicon purchase. They matched my best trade offer when negotiating with 3 other local dealers, and above KBB trade numbers and I bought my Rubicon for 5% below...
Completely stock suspension. I do think it requires a Rubicon to fit them due to the higher fenders. Plenty of room to flex. Will test it out at Rausch Creek soon.
That would keep them about the same as the stock height just a little taller. Others on the forum may be familiar with how a 33" tire height does on a stock Sport or Overland. I am guessing you would be fine just not sure. The higher fenders on the Rubicon allow a 35" tire to fit without...
The wheels on the Overland and Rubicon are the same width at 7.5" to my understanding. The Rubicon comes stock with 285/70R17 tires so you are fine running 275 width tires on the stock wheel. I run 35x12.5 tires on my stock rubicon wheels with no issue. The height could be a challenge on the...
My weekend adventure in my Billet Gladiator. Towed my 25' travel trailer out to Luray Caverns in VA and drove the Skyline Drive. It towed the 4500lb camper great. I traded in my Hemi Grand Cherokee and was a little worried about the V6 instead of the 8 towing but was impressed with how well...
I don’t think I would want to buy it in February though. I think waiting a year for them to shake out the bugs on a new engine would be wise. The pentastar was a mess for the first couple years too. My 2012 JK (first year of the 3.6) had issues with the heads and was in for service a number of...
You can fix the giant key issue. AJT Design makes a replacement fob case that is much smaller and still works perfectly. The gas mileage will also improve. I am on tank 4 and now getting 17 average and I am now on 35s.
Yes we use a WDH and sway bar hitch. Extremely helpful for anything over 3k. I towed from my storage yard without the weight distribution arms on and it was down low in the rear. I wouldn’t tow a long highway distance without it.
We love it as well. Perfect size camper for a family of 4. We took it across the country last year for a total of 10,000 miles across 3 weeks. This was a short 90 mile tow from the DC area to Luray Caverns.
I am using a Curt controller with Curt wiring harness. Part numbers on etrailer are C51459 for the harness and C51170 for the controller. Works great. Wired up to the factory plug right under the steering column. I put the control on the dash just to the left of the steering column.
I have the same mirrors and crossed the straps and they held much better. Connect top of one side to bottom of other and make an X and they will hold great.
