Are you sure they are bearing buddies and not EZ-Lube? Bearing buddies usually come on boat trailers. EZ-Lube has a small rubber disk you can remove to access the ZERK fitting. If the trailer is new I would just check to see the grease inside the hub grease cap, don't "top it off" as too much...

I just went out and looked at the IBS. For it to "learn" should it be removed from the batter clamp as well? I get not having to disconnect from the network connection.

The POR-15 works best if it's already rusted. I did the frame on my camper so I sloped some on the Gladiator receiver. (and I do mean Sloped). It runs like lighter fluid.

I think you did good. I would consider spraying it with a bed liner while it's new. Aftermarket trailer hitches rust really fast. That black paint on them flakes off starting in the first year. I have the factory hitch and used POR-15 on mine as it started to rust at the chain hooks after a year.

Have you ever ordered diner, only to find out your eyes where bigger than your stomach? You don't want to make that mistake when purchasing a trailer and have all that money (or debt) wrapped up.

When I bought my JT in 2019 the max-tow package was $995.00. I tow a small camper and got it just to be sure. Best thing I did! I put on BFG K02s 33" and it pulls the camper on flat land in 8th gear. I average 19-21 MPG not towing in Ohio.
