Ok. I've spent some time tonight reading about the cause of the flashing rear locker light that started today on the interstate in 2H at 70 mph. Now I need to figure out how to deal with it.
We are three long days from home still. Is it correct that the only damage I can do by continuing the...
We started with a Rebel Off Road rack and modified it to accept inset 5 gallon Jerry cans.
We built mounts that all accept padlocks. The padlocks came in a set keyed alike. They do not allow anything to rattle.
We put in a Literider tonneau cover when we ran out of time to do a custom...
So how many of the $$$$ you put in your Gladiator are visible walking by it?
I realized today that a big chunk of my mod money has been hidden: trusses/gussets/gears/axle shafts/RCVs/drive shaft, dual ARB air compressor, lift (somewhat hidden), full aluminum skids, etc.... Some are clearly...
Looking so nice and clean and unscratched or dented at the moment! Heading to Moab in a few weeks to fix that.
Nice shiny Metalcloak lift. Artec skids trusses/gussets looking good. LCA skids welded in. Diff covers painted Gator.
So I had a regear done from 4.10 to 5.13 and chromoly shafts installed. The installer thought it was unusual that the shafts I supplied for the rear were a smaller diameter than the stock ones that came out.
Is this normal? Is something off?
I am looking for suggestions on the best location to hardwire in a GPS tracker. I don't want it easily seen/found. Like many others I am putting a lot of $$ and time into making my Jeep exactly what I want. I'd hate to have it be one of the ones that gets stolen. And yes, I have insurance but it...
Loaded up to go back to the shop!
This time it gets:
front and rear trussed
gusseted
RCVs
moly rear shafts
lca skids
full Artec aluminum belly skids
5.13 gears
dif covers
Metalcloak rockers and flip steps
ARB twin onboard air
Warn winch
Probably forgetting to mention something...
My Metalcloak Gamechanger 3.5" lift is going on next week. I tried to order an Icon 1 3/8" rear coil spacer set but they are out of stock everywhere I looked. Any suggestions on where to find them or another option that is in stock somewhere?
In every picture I've seen of Gladiators on the MC GC 3.5" lift it looks a little squat in the rear. I'm considering adding spacers to the rear at install time.
Any suggestions on what to use? Anyone with one installed that can verify or deny that the back end squats a bit?
Heading to Moab in the spring. Taking my JTR that by then will have 3 1/2" lift, 37s, beefed up axles, skid plates, 5.13s, etc. We should be able to handle pretty difficult trails. We will also have a JKU tagging along that is on a 3" lift, 35s, but open diffs. They can ride with us on more...
I have a shop doing the install but I need to order the gears. I see a gear "kit" or just the ring and pinion. Do I need to order a kit or just the ring and pinion?
2020 Rubicon.
This is the kit...
Help me decide. Here is my particular situation:
2020 Rubicon. Will be on 3 1/2" MC GC lift. 37" Nitto Trail Grapplers. Wheel Vintiques steel smoothies. All the usual winch/recovery gear/tools/extra gas, including a full height rack, etc. We will push the limits of the payload when the camper...
I had Wheel Vintiques Smoothies on order but they can't make them with the backspace I need for my MC lift. Any suggestions for a similar looking wheel?
Where are you mounting GoPros on the outside of your JT? I have a single mount on my JK on the driver's side. It's a MyPilotPro.
What mounts do you like and what locations have worked for good footage on the trails?
We are considering painting part of our camper to match the Gator Gladiator we pull it with. I don't know much about paint. Since this color seems to change based on the lighting I'm not sure you can do a good match unless you use the factory paint/process.
Is there something I should be asking...
I have a little time before the MC 3.5" Gamechanger goes on. If you are not familiar with this kit it has a gold color due to the coating that protects it from rusting. You can paint over the surface without harm. You cannot powdercoat according to MC.
I am considering painting the gold parts...
This just arrived today. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Lithium battery powered and a water reservoir. Totally portable. And I can fill it with reverse osmosis water to rinse. I have plenty of r/o at work.
If it works as advertised it will be pretty handy.
