  1. What Did You Do FOR Your Gladiator Today?

Thanks! Do you leave it up full time? I wish somebody made one that collapsed short enough to clear a standard garage door for storage
  2. What Did You Do FOR Your Gladiator Today?

Whoa! please tell me all about your gantry crane. Do you leave it set up full time? I need one badly
  3. Gladiator diesel real life MPG

Factory sport S no modifications got regular highs in the 30-31 range (55-60, sea level) and regular lows around 24 (75-85 mph, sea level). Most tanks got around 27mpg. This was over the first 14k miles Added leveling puck and lost about 2mpg average on those number, assuming due to change in...
  4. How are you locking stuff on your racks?

Wow that's really nice but it would be way cheaper to just let them steal my shovel every year!
  5. What do u have coming in the mail?

Preventative maintenance parts for my LJ so that when my JT eventually has issues, I still have something reliable to drive :CWL:
  6. Diesel Gladiator Fuel System issues

Hey! Based on the VIN yours was 8 behind mine on the assembly line- likely built on the same day.
  7. DIESEL ONLY: How long has your fuel pump lasted?

I should never have googled CP4 failures. How many miles do you have on your ecodiesel and have you had any HPFP related issues? I'm at 15,500 and no problems
  8. Ranger Raptor Unveiled. Come on Jeep!!!

You're right- It does have plenty of power and I should have worded it differently. I'm just uncomfortable with where the power band is on the 3.6- even with the JT re-cam. It seems to like to stay between 3-4k RPM to tow up at grade and I worry that the sustained stress of higher RPMs will...
  9. Non Rubicon Ecodiesel Lift - why if no weight difference.

The US spec diesel sport/s/willys/overlands do not get wide axles, but do get cast knuckles. As for the original question about the lift- its where the weight is carried. The diesel motor is almost 200 lbs heavier than the 3.6. You need a different front spring rate to handle that weight while...
  10. Ranger Raptor Unveiled. Come on Jeep!!!

I like the 3.6 in the JK/U and the JL/U but its underpowered for the gladiator. Even a stock rubicon has to triple downshift just to pass on interstates. Now the ecodiesel... that's the complete opposite
  11. Leveling kit thoughts

Don't have that combo, but I leveled out my Sport S and also carry weight in the bed regularly. Added Air Lift helper bags to the rear (very easy DIY, $100) and that allows me to stay level regardless of payload. It also reduced body roll. Best $100 I've ever spent on a Jeep. The kit number is...
  12. Replacement for written off Gladiator

Wow- hope you're doing well! The cargo space in a JLU with the rear seats folded flat is just about the same as the JT bed. I do think the JT rides significantly better with the longer wheelbase tho
  13. Frame damage directly off the delivery truck

Happy to hear I'm not the only crazy person. I ordered my JT and when it came in I insisted on a test drive before doing the paperwork. Salesman looked at me like I was insane. Jeep literally builds these things in one day- never confuse 'new' with 'correctly assembled'.
  14. AEV BRUTE / JTR Pics…

The brute is just about the best jeep derivative ever made. I wish Jeep had styled the JT after the TJ brute instead of the JK brute. Or at the very least offered a factory kit to convert a JL to their J6 concept like they did with the JK8 kits in ~2011.
  15. How reliable has your gladiator been?

Yep- even just the factory rear LSD helps quite a bit. For those of us used to older trucks, I think that logic of how to drive in bad weather is pretty common-sense. From the JK onwards it seems like there are a lot of people who have never owned a 4x4 before, or equate it to being the same as...
  16. Alu-Cab Gladiator Bed Cap

Here's mine. Love the cap, but can't believe they put lock cores in them with the numbers etched externally. Kind of defeats the security aspect for anybody who knows where you park regularly...
  17. My personal opinion, its not sexy!

I have a sport S that's mostly stock and I agree with you- not the best looking truck. Ironically, all of my non-jeep friends seem to like how it looks. They say it reminds them, dimensionally, of the trucks from 20 years go.
  18. How reliable has your gladiator been?

I have a diesel and my solution for this was a leveling isolator and I installed sumo springs (not actually springs, but more of a progressive bumpstop) in place of the factory bump stop. Much better.
  19. How reliable has your gladiator been?

A lot of people who are new to solid axles don't realize that an open diff or a diff with locker (no LSD) can be a challenge in the snow, since just one wheel spins in a low traction situation (in 2hi). I think this is where the notion comes from. Its nice that jeep finally offers a 4hi auto...
