  1. POC abbreviations?

What do the abbreviations HB, FFP, EP mean on the POC?
  2. Some colors model "upgrade"?

Thanks TireGuy! Black Ford Fusions, White Ford Explorers, etc.... Kind of made me choke on my Cheerios when he said "upgrade" color. I haven't been able to justify the added expense for the Sport S for my use, and if it wasn't for Max Tow i'd be in the manual trans. I sincerely appreciate...
  3. Some colors model "upgrade"?

Did a fleet lease with a guy, he was great to work with, so I reached out about a Gladiator as a personal vehicle since 70%+ of my driving is business activity. Base being JT Sport in Granite, I have a dealer in Iowa I can do 5% off invoice, my credit offer from my CU, etc. My fleet guy killed...
  4. Jeep.com Build Tool?

Has anyone else used this recently? It seems less functional/informative than it did at launch.... or should it be used for entertainment purposes only? Example: none of the colors come up as 'late availability". Another one, when selecting a package the "also add" lists seem to have expanded...
  5. Beer load out

Triple your pleasure: fill bed with one layer beer, then a sheet of plywood, and a 2nd layer on top of that. You should pic up 2 cases on capacity stacking over the wheel wells and it will be flat enough you can your tent on it. So: fill with beer, fill with more beer by adding plywood, use top...
  6. Drove Gladiator at EJS today!

So. If I go Sport with the fancy cloth, my plan is to add Katzkin front seats, tie the controller into the Aux Switch package. The only thing riding in the back is kids and dog. I've owned a Jeep, but never modified. Is my brain thinking right on this?
  7. Thank you Jeep & FCA

Can't wait for the mad props to be bequeathed upon the web team for updating the Build Platform with options and pricing. That's gonna sound like a Drunk Best Man toast!
  8. 2020 Jeep Gladiator Pricing: $33,545 (Sport), $40,395 (Overland), $43,545 (Rubicon) + Options Prices

When I option out the packages across Sport, Sport S, and Rubicon using the spreadsheet each "grade" is +/- $5-$5.5k for the next one up using MSRP - 4% to Invoice - 5% Dealer Discount. "Nail in the coffin" for the Sport for me will likely be Cold Weather Package not available on Sport...
  9. Tops! Canopy / covers / toppers / racks possibilities for Gladiator - Show me!

Yes! But with a soft top that clips to the frame and snaps/slides into a bed rail like a Jeep softtop ..... at least on the TJ I had, where the "fin" gets pressured into the ridge and makes the soft top taught.
  10. Local dealer update

After my trip to the Auto show I'm likely swapping the Ford Fusion for an older JK. Daughter turns 16 next year. Will get the JT then when I can choose Gobi or Metallic Silver Gray (I think that's what it is), she can drive the JK. Found a manual, I think it would be perfect for her to...
  11. JT sightings at consumer to shows?

I wouldn't get too excited about order banks opening before pricing is announced..... Everything about this is coming up short of projections. This is the sort of thing I do for work. Much smaller scale, but the principles are the same: it takes longer and costs more than you can forecast.
  12. Do you really want a first year production?...

It's a Chrysler family product, how do you tell something isn't working from the general issues caused by poor fit and finish aka "It's a Jeep thing." SEE: JL Steering issue responses.... "There's nothing wrong, it's just a Jeep thing...." Bought a 4 year old TJ.... For some reason I dropped...
  13. JT sightings at consumer to shows?

The only dealer I saw was from a local called Lupient. I don't know if he was just in the area or actually working. Everyone else had FCA name tags on. We did the trail ride but got stuck in a Cherokee, not a JLU. That sucked.
  14. JT sightings at consumer to shows?

Yes, Fall of '19 per the FCA rep going by "Emily" on the stage. Made me think their communication would be stronger if the called the Red/White/Black "Early Release" colors, rather than the cool colors "Late Release".
  15. JT sightings at consumer to shows?

Just viewed at Minneapolis Auto Show. Very disappointed that it was Display Only. The Wranglers were free to climb over..... Take aways: 1) It looked sweet. Wish any of the tops would have been soft tops. 2) Stated: "Pricing will be at the end of April". 3) Stated: "Late availability colors...
  16. up to 7% off invoice in NC

We Your research is correct. Fuel Economy.gov lists the 2019 JLU at 20MPG in the 8 spd auto and 19MPG in the 6 spd manual. I regret my misinformation or the allusion I had knowledge of unpublished data. Any fuel economy difference between the stock Sport and Sport MaxTow will likely come...
  17. up to 7% off invoice in NC

I think stock manual is going to be like an old International: too slow for the road, too fast for the field..... It will be an interesting ride, but it's attitude will be undecided, like it doesn't know what it wants to be when it goes up. However, if you're going to NC to pick it up and...
  18. up to 7% off invoice in NC

Additional thought for the thread: I'm in MN. On a $41,000 invoice @ 6% off (guessing the Tri-City Finance can't compete with my CU), I save upwards of $250 in vehicle tax. That covers airfare from MSP to RDU one way for my son and I to take an overland trip out the door. The TL discount would...
  19. up to 7% off invoice in NC

5JeepsAZ- On the build last night, yes, the Sport gets steel rims. Kick ass, black steel rims.
  20. JT sightings at consumer to shows?

I don't think I could hunt the Southern Swamps, but looking at these photos while my yard is locked in ice and snow, and my boat frozen in the winter tomb of the garage, I'm starting to rethink some life choices....
