    "Dong, where is my automobile....."
  2. Where's the love for OSB?

P No Bamboo, no hemp. As scarce as a 2 door manual 5 speed diesel!
  3. Where's the love for OSB?

According to the Jeep sales guy that talked to his dealer rep: yes to the wood option. But they won't announce the price until after you order it, and I know it's going to be a $1,200 option after a renewable carbon credit. Which is fine if you want a lower tow rating, but I'm guessing I could...
  4. WHAT I WILL DO WITH MY GLADIATOR

'plywood notch yo' mammas Jeep!' Why doesn't anyine have concern about the JT hauling sheetrock? Wishin' I was fishin'
  5. Gladiator Safari Cap (make this)

Ian, did you do the top/track custom or is it modified to fit?
  6. Mark Allen shows off plywood at media show ;)

Plywood, the Nickleback of Jeep Truck-landia
  7. Gladiator Safari Cap (make this)

That's how I envision a soft top. The other would be using a bed rack as an exo-skeleton. If it had removable panels like a soft top, but with the roll bars on the outside, then mechanical attachment along the bed.
  8. Naming Your JT - Some Will, Some A, and Why

Sasquatch. This would be the first vehicle name that was not a derivation of the brand name. I've already started license plate letter formats for a phonetic option. I am stupid.
  9. Possible bed problem with 4X8 plywood

I don't know what to call them, but there are vertical "bed rails" at the tail gate, that are something like 49" between them (see the truck bed video in the other thread). The bed then gets wider to something like 55". The fuel fill bump, likely, sits within this protected space. A sliding...

The risk in teaser campaigns: everyone calls the bluff. They are going to price it as high as they think they can to manage to volume. This could also be a calculated loss leader for brands equity and market claims to firm up the brand "Halo".
  11. Cold Weather testing?

Based on my experience with the brand "fit, finish, function" are less imoimport than "beat, break and bust". Does it work, will it break? vs Warm fuzzy hug.... Based on product design experience it would seem they are trying to change that with the evolution to JK through JL.
  12. Gladiator Brochure Digital/Web

Consumer price strategy tends to frown on lowering prices without some sort of margin compensation to off set. Jeep's with removable tops are much more lifestyle vehicles, therefore buyers are less price sensitive than something like a Ford Fusion. MSRP exists to build in discounts for...
  13. Gladiator Brochure Digital/Web

"Like nothing else on Earth" Right?! Because every other company on Earth knows what the price is before they retro fit an assembly line..... There is likely some "squishy" in their pricing. The risk on high end is not enough units move and they forever sell on discount/promotion. Too low...
  14. Cold Weather testing?

I'll take the marker on Sasquatch..... *begins search for vanity plates
  15. Cold Weather testing?

"Sasquatch contributions": semi-conspiracy of a possible fictional truck rumored to be delivered in 2Q with a price that is subject to speculation and unverifiable, but said truck has been "seen" in various elements, most notably a commercial where it appears unable to move and "video" drone...
  16. Cold Weather testing?

Received a text this morning from a trusted source: JT observed in Bemidji, MN. We have a couple cold weather testing facilities before you cross into Canada. It's been sub 30 below Farenheit for a few days up that way. No pics unfortunately. Saw someone else had JT photos while it was...
  17. Sun Visors with Mirrors and Lights?

One more reason I like the base Sport model :-)
  18. Trail rail system requires power windows, mirrors & locks

5jeeps: Man, missed a ton of spell check. The forum and my Swype don't seem to always agree.... It's been over 30 years, but if I remember right my '76 Cherokee had the big front bench and dimmer on the floor, with an aftermarket cassette mounted under the dash with CCR blaring. Took the rear...
