Late to the party on this one, but here is a video for RAM cold weather testing. Its pretty safe to say some of this testing is shared by Jeep.

I didn't form my thoughts very well in my response . I did know about the issue - again, from the JL Forum . I Totally Agree, it should NEVER of been an issue - just poorly executed and tested ! The customer make-shift attempts to remedy are comically frustrating ! IF stupid things like this persist or show up in the JT (I will be testing, in the cold) It will be enough for me to say, "Know what, think I'm just gonna keep my WK2 and "spruce up its off road abilities, and the hell with my warrantee !"
So then would you go to a dealership in winter and ask to see how the Gladiator defrosts from the engine being cold?

Both would be ideal, so I'd ask for an extended test drive - more than 5 minutes around the block . My experience in taking a vehicle out is, we go select one that is close to what I want get in and start it up, Cold . Even better, go on a day just after a light snow dusting . I'm only 3 miles to my local Lithia Dealer . They're used to me coming in for oil changes, chatting it up, buying accessories (WK2) . . . ! I think they would love to have my WK2 for resale and they know I've been interested in a JL or JT, so they tend to "put up" with my thoroughness ! That help ?

Based on my experience with the brand "fit, finish, function" are less imoimport than "beat, break and bust".

Does it work, will it break?

vs

Warm fuzzy hug....

Based on product design experience it would seem they are trying to change that with the evolution to JK through JL.

Good stuff. This JT broke some mold and kept to some tradition. It's a gamble, not being Hummer or G, not being work truck, not being a wrangler, then what is it... More marketing challenge than design, although design had a good challenge here too. Interesting!
