My housing broke apart years ago when my bubba rope broke free during a pull. I now have a 3d printer and have been searching for the 3d print files to reprint the backup housing without success. Anyone have any idea where to find the files? i've tried the various 3d print file websites with no...
new 2020 JT Overland
33" BFG KO2's and new custom sliders
35" BFG KM3s, 3.5 Clayton Overlander+ lift, FOX Performance 2.0, Adams front driveshaft, Teraflex30 HD front axle, TrailFX front fenders, Rugged Ridge Arcus bumper, 4.88 yukon gears, Eaton front & rear elockers, and other...
This is the latest iteration. About to break 70k miles since i got my JT, 09/2019.
Winter has been pretty brutal this season. Lots of snow and a really long cold snap in - (negative) territory for a couple weeks straight.
Finally finished my build; took longer than expected due to some stuff...
i ran 4.88's on mine and still do on 35" soon to be 37" tires. wouldn't trust the dealer to regear, find you a local offroad shop and get some honest reviews before committing to any work. You''ll also need something like a Taser to program the speedo and gear ratio.
I off road and tow a 3200#...
This... i bought a 2020 overland back in late 2019. with upgrades as I gained offroading experience, i've ended up with better quality components and a setup just as good or better than a rubicon or mojave.
I recently got a call from the dealer that i bought my JT from asking if i wanted to trade it in for a newer model.... I'm like hell no; no way am i starting over, even with a good discount.
plus ,I take mine offroad nowadays without a second thought. Babying it because it's new... don't want...
Hope so... It'll be interesting to see how the front gears hold up. I'm on my 3rd set of rear yukon gears and it's a Dana44. I'm not that hard core when i'm wheeling, just unlucky i guess.
Teraflex Tera30.... beefy, size of the ring and pinion though has me wondering if i won't regret it. a replacement mopar is 5 1/2 week wait, and shop gave me a good deal since he had it in stock that included an eaton elocker and 4.88 gears. Patience is not one of my virtues.
pothole on a snow covered road... going about 45mph... luckily didn't totally lose control and go off the road. broke my steering stabilizer and passenger side axle housing about 6 degrees bent back and up. My steering wheel was a full quarter turn off to the left.
Bent my front axle recently and discovered there was a 5 1/2 week backorder on mopar axles. Shop i go to had a Teraflex Tera30 axle in-stock and with the deal he gave me ended up with a eaton elocker as well. Hope i don't regret it in the future, but this axle is heavy duty...
still so much snow :( . I need to buy new tires for the trailer, and was hoping i could get it pulled out before the mad rush for tire change-overs. From last week...
Of the 3 years with my JT here in Alaska, I've never had any issues with the headlights and snow. Keeping them clean during spring breakup, well doesn't have to be spring anymore, is something i do anytime i fill up gas.
I have friends going out tomorrow. I think i'm staying home and just relaxing this time around. Looks like we got snow incoming too; it hasn't stopped us before. hehehe i've posted a few pics in other threads of us in a blizzard.
well... it' best to go with a group, especially someone who knows...
