  1. Leather seat side bolster laid flat, this common?

My JT is my first Jeep with leather seats (or an automatic transmission for that matter) and my passenger seat lower side bolster failed and just laid flat underneath the leather. My passenger seat is rarely used in comparison to the driver seat and the Jeep is only 7 months old with 8k miles...
  2. Clutch Recall (FCA W12 | 20V-124) For Gladiator Manual Transmiss [overheating clutch pressure plate]

My thoughts exactly! Its dumb that a manual gets rated an entire 3000 pounds less than an automatic when manuals do not face the over-heating stress issues that autos will. The unofficial...or well speculation for that low number when compared to the auto was the clutch.
  3. Clutch Recall (FCA W12 | 20V-124) For Gladiator Manual Transmiss [overheating clutch pressure plate]

now that is a good idea! Might even save Jeep money over the R&D to just buy and install everyone a center force lol
  4. Clutch Recall (FCA W12 | 20V-124) For Gladiator Manual Transmiss [overheating clutch pressure plate]

Very true, the actual transmission itself (i.e. the gears/splines/teeth/bands/etc) are not a defective unit as a whole. But given that the D478 is the only transmission to have said issue it becomes a "manual transmission recall". Considering it can blow out the bell housing its not far...
  5. Manuals might be dead

They might actually be dead for good now....or at least the Aisin D478. Jeep has a stop sale on them now after this recall went out. So yea for the time being manuals are dead, and this is why they stopped building any manual orders. Pulled this up with my VIN on MOPARs website.
  6. Clutch Recall (FCA W12 | 20V-124) For Gladiator Manual Transmiss [overheating clutch pressure plate]

Updated post with more info: NHTSA Recall Number: 20V-124 Recall Date: March 3, 2020 Manufacturer Recall Number: W12 SUMMARY: In some circumstances, the clutch pressure plate may become overheated through friction, which may lead the pressure plate to fracture. A fractured pressure plate may...
  7. Full vehicle-lenght hardtop possible?

At that point though you are looking at major surgery. To make the bed any longer you would have to find a way to temporarily remove the entire back wall of the bed and cab without causing cab warping or water leaks. Do you man but making it one solid truck capable of this would be some major...
  8. Full vehicle-lenght hardtop possible?

So you want to take your truck purpose vehicle and turn it right back into an SUV? I am not fully understanding the benefit of a full length hard top. If you are talking about joining the back of the truck with the cab there would be a nightmare amount of fab work involved with that and you...
  9. Bed accessory install. VIAIR constant duty, lighting and 3 gang switch.

Quick Part 1 video I made of the mock-up process for my VIAIR install. Also showing the aux lights and 3 gang switch I put in where the factory outlet would be (or blank plate in my case since mine did not have that). I am putting the ACE Upper Decker on so I wanted extra lighting in there for...
  10. Trailer Hitch Zoom Not Working

Update: no news yet, my Jeep has been in for service and the issue was documented. My Gladiator cooperated while I was there and actually duplicated the issue where the button was white and ready to press one time. Then after a restart the button was grayed out. He did a few things to it and...
  11. Frame chop front bumpers

That looks like a pretty damn good approach angle for a recessed winch bumper that is not frame chopped. I have not pulled a JL or JT front bumper yet so I do not know if frame chopping is even possible based on whatever is under them. Might explain why they have not hit the market yet from...
  12. Supporters of the J6

I wondered if Jeep considered keeping the JT wheelbase and deleting/subtracting the rear cab area to just make an extended cab with a 6.5 bed or something like that. Probably not a solid market for it to make sense for them though so I would doubt that happens. They love to tease the market...
  13. Trailer Hitch Zoom Not Working

Agreed! So far between this forum and Facebook groups I am up to 19 individuals that have a non working zoom. All of which are manuals with tow package. All automatic owners have reported no issues. Out of those 19 folks, 2 have said it works intermittently. Others reported the zoom button...
  14. Trailer Hitch Zoom Not Working

I am in Jacksonville for work right now but I made a service appointment for Saturday. At least we can get some documentation on this issue for Jeep to have for others and if they fix mine at least we will know there is a way forward. Will let you all know what comes of it.
  15. Trailer Hitch Zoom Not Working

Several people are reporting this issue @JeepCares It seems to be happening to manual transmissions only (no automatic owner has reported any similar issue yet). My Rubicon is a manual with the 8.4 display and tow package but my trailer zoom function has never worked. Today I went and tested...
  16. Frame chop front bumpers

Anyone have a frame chop front bumper on their JT (if there is even an aftermarket segment for that yet)? Any photos would be great, especially side shots. Most of the aftermarket world seems to be full of these massive bumpers, even the stubby ones stick out and look like a patio deck on the...
  17. North Edition Gladiators have arrived

I have no idea, was just answering the question. The Selec Trac is the JL Sahara all wheel drive add on option. I do not know if the North Edition Gladiator will include this as an option (or standard) at all. If you go to their website and build a North Edition the only option for anything...
  18. JT Gladiator Upper Decker Hinged Cargo Basket Now Available!

Thank you! Any chance you have the measurements hole to hole either in the front or back (red line 1)?
