Which CC are you using? I never use the standard CC; it seems superfluous when ACC is available. I have a MT, so any gear hunting is done with my right arm (with some help from my brain).
Anyway, I do have to downshift in hilly country, but most of my driving is in flat territory where the...
The reason you needed 4L is threefold. 1) the rarefied atmosphere at 14,000 feet, 2) you have oversize tires, and not least, the 3.6L V6 only develops maximum power at near redline. When you shift into low range, much less power is needed.
4xjeepr, Thanks! I knew there had to be someone else experiencing this.
However, it has now been over 8,000 miles and the message still comes up now and then. Incidentally, in my case it is a message, not an icon.
Likely completely unrelated, but I ordered my JT with the limited slip rear...
Thanks for quick replies!
@Rahkmalla The message came up while in the shop - but they did not know why. The Jeep specialist told me that when I see the message (it prevents seeing anything else) to hit OK and it would go away. Not true. It comes and goes with no apparent pattern.
I believe...
I have a 2020 Overland with 6-speed MT, special-ordered, delivered in late July 2020. It was manufactured after the initial clutch overheating problems were supposedly fixed.
After a while, I got a recall notice on the clutch overheating problem. The "fix" as explained in the letter, was to...
I have 2020 JT Overland, manual trans, special ordered, and delivered July 2020. Still in love with the truck.
I just checked Jeep's website out of curiosity, and discovered while there are new models available, the Overland is gone. What's with that? Lack of sales. or does Jeep just like to...
I just returned to this forum after a long absence. Why post about Gladiators when you can enjoy driving one? Anyway, I used to think I might like a plug-in hybrid until Hurricane Ian took out thousands of hybrids an EVs where I live.
But Jeeps are designed for fording, so perhaps Jeep builds...
I had the earlier recall done, which simply consisted of reprogramming the computer to reduce engine torque when a certain temperature is reached. That is the way Jeep explained it. I don't see how that could work unless there is in fact a temperature sensor in the clutch housing.
I never...
This is not related to OP's particular observation, but I was reluctant to start a whole new thread since many JT owners probably already know this.
I usually carry my key fob in a belt holster, so I know it is always with me. Saturday last I was doing fixit work so did not have the nice...
I really like this product. Starting over, I might have gotten just the rear roof done, then have the option of removing the un-modified front panels, or opening the Sunrider for HT (when installed). That way, more light for both front and rear passengers.
As it is, I installed Hotheads...
This was my choice. It is first and foremost a daily driver, and weekend hauler, and I wanted creature comforts. I do not plan to do rock crawling, but I do like the beach and sandy trails. I tow, but not heavy stuff, mostly a small boat trailer. A manual transmission was also a requirement. So...
I have concluded that all Jeep is gonna give us MT aficionados is the V6 gas and PT transfer case.
No Selec-trac, no diesel, no 4 turbo, no V8, no hybrid.
I will remain contented with what I have.
