Speaking of lightning - about 15 years ago I was living in DC and had come down to Tampa for a business trip. Went out to dinner with a coworker, and a huge thunderstorm hit while we were at the restaurant. Streets went from completely dry on the drive to dinner to waves cresting over the hood of the rental car on the way home. We stopped in a mostly water free parking lot to wait out the storm. Cars kept driving into this one intersection and promptly began floating. A couple of soldiers from the nearby base were standing there with me, so we waded out into the intersection to push the cars to safety.
I remember flying out of Tampa right after that storm, you could see the road rivers and waves from the air. Got like 18 inches of rain in an hour or something crazy like that.

I call IL home, but mostly in MO for now.

Rhode Island. Other than being the smallest state, a few years back we were also voted most corrupt. :like:

I left Illinois in 87 said I'm not moving back, the Army sent me first Ga. then all over last two stops of GA and FL. now a full time RVer now with small spot of land in the sticks of AL. for my Jeeps, boats and 4 wheeler. Working in Huntsville AL area. Damn in last 34 years I've traveled to a lot of states and have forgotten how many countries I've been to. Lived in Europe for 7 years or so and about 3 years in middle east.
This is the longest time I've ever been in same place with out being flying or traveling somewhere for 3 months or more. Sorry got thinking about it and started rambling on.
