Speaking of t-shirts..........................
One thing that is done by many quilters, and sometimes requested by someone who has lost a husband who had a lot of t-shirts from events, or sport team themes, Harley Davidson shirts, you name it, or just done as a gift for someone "what do we do with all of these t-shirts you have"........... a t-shirt quilt.
You cut out the important bit of the shirt with the graphics or whatever, back it with a stabilizer since the shirts stretch and so on, and turn all of those shirts into a quilt of memories.
My wife has helped make some (she hates doing them, too boring for her tastes), and has quilted a lot of them on her long-arm APQS quilting machine.
